Cheers manimal.

We're flying with Wizzair from London Luton. We land at 03:00 on Friday 24th.
Will want to sleep when we arrive, but can meet for beers and sight seeing Friday lunchtime.

Maybe you could PM me your mobile number, so we can contact you in Sofia.

Cheers

OK, here it is in English. Smiley  But...
First of all – have in mind that the text below is my translation in English of the text in Bulgarian.  I don’t have the audio yet – so it is a translation from the Bulgarian text on the website, which is quite risky, but since it is the fastest way and there are interesting things in it, that I figured you may want to know, I’ve done it.  So if there are any mistakes, or misinterpretations, syntax errors, grammar errors or anything else to blame on someone – blame it on your humble translator (me) and not the interviewer or (don’t even think to blame) the interviewed. Smiley

thank you manimal for going out of your way to share this with the rest of us.  i love this kind of stuff & so very, very much appreciate your efforts & kindness.  Smiley  if & when you get the audio portion, i hope you'll share that link / info / mp3 with us too.

very happy for you & everyone in Sofia, Bulgaria on recieving this most exciting & very happy news!  Cheesy

I am hoping to receive the audio soon - I will surely see the guy around/or on the date of the concert. Also I've promised him beers and beers for the interview. Smiley)

Happy that you liked it!

Cheers!

Justin, if Aideen - or anyone else who will be coming - needs help or info about accommodation, send me a msg with the preferences for distance, price, etc and I will see what the possibilities are. Would be glad to help anyone from the board, who will be coming for the concert. I think there are plenty of places on different prices and different conditions around here.

If you are a group of ppl - like 2-3 or 4 - I would reccommend hiring an appartment - e.g. like this one site the costs will be like 50-60 Euro per night, which is OK for 4 people. However I should check if there is not any change (guess not).
A friend of mine from Greece hires an appartment every time she comes to Sofia, I can ask her for contacts, address, etc.

So there are different options - just let me know.

There are many places to eat - pizza-restaurants for example are everywhere. Also Bulgarian restaurants with typical Bulgarian meals, if you want. Many Chinese restaurants, fast-food franchizes, Sea-food restaurants, Irish pubs (Slainte!!!), I know a vegan restaurant too, etc...
Also even if you are not beer monster - the good beer-houses around here always offer variety of foods too - all kinds of meat, potatoes, chesses, pizzas, soups, everything. We are planning to make a meetup on Friday - probably lunch time, I will post the time and placebefore that. But once you get here - I will show you around, so don't worry! Smiley No chance to stay hungry in Sofia.

Smiley)) As for the rakia - it is our local brandy (quite different in taste though) and few ml. of it ususally makes you smiley, happy and warm. Smiley) It is made from fruits in several fermentation processes, and is usually quite strong with fruit flavour. Of course, you should try it.

A friend of mine from Greece hires an appartment every time she comes to Sofia, I can ask her for contacts, address, etc.

I asked my friend about the name/site of the company, I've mentioned before, offering apparments for rent for a night or two in Sofia and here it is:

Moriah Flats - they have 9 appartments, all of them in the center of the city, the prices differ, and the conditions are very good (judging from the one I saw myself). There are photos and prices for each flat, so you can check them on the site.
My friend picked them initially, because the name reminds of Moriah from Tolkien's LOTR, but after that used them again and again.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!
