Title: Vinyl Re-Releases
Post by: RobertJohn1 on March 30, 2020, 08:34:04 AM
Just wandering if team merch could shed any light on the possibilities of the NMA albums getting pre dog & wolf getting re-issued. There's albums I've picked up 2nd hand for a reasonable price - but some (like LOHC) are far to high (starting rate around £45)....

We are planning some vinyl re-releases (in particular albums that were never previously available on vinyl) but obviously all plans are suspended at the present time. However, at least for now, this doesn't include the Sony-owned LOHC. Sorry.

Well that's cheered me up in amongst all the madness. As well as those previously not available, will TIAGD get a second press?

The first good news of 2025??

According to a comment i've read today on the Unofficial NMA Facebook page:

"Local indi record store told me last week, that all NMA back catalogue is being re-release early next year on vinyl from original masters. He has Stange Brotherhood first press on vinyl at 250. Vinyl releases from Rough Trade apparently."

IIRC the original 3-disc vinyl release of Strange Brotherhood wasn't on general release, it was sold through the fan club  somewhere I've got the newsletter announcing it. I've long regretted not getting a copy when I had the chance, but  I was completely skint at the time...

How about releasing the albums as a collection of Bluray discs?

I pass on vinyl and modern CD mastering.

TIAGD is/was on Discogs for a measly €506. Not sure why the €6. €500 too little, €510 too much?
