Good day all
Just a quick message to say hello as I ain't been on here for a while
Been busy working and buying/rebuilding motorbikes as a hobby to keep me sane in these testing times
Hope everyone is okay and hope to see ya at a gig soon

Hey Red...good to hear from you. Yes, these are insane times and i think i have to admit that i have already lost some of my sanity, mojo, whatever you call it. I'm not the type for depression but melancholy can get hard these days. And i maybe become cynical..i don't know..BUT.., reading that you buy and work on motorbikes, i find totally awesome!! Maybe you like to write more about it? I would be very interested...i'm kind of a newbee, riding a Kawasaki Z650 since not even a year, but i already got 6500km and i think i want a bigger one;-)

Well, thanks for thinking of me! I think my old email address doesn't work anymore but I'll check it just in case (for some reason I occasionally get emails through...)
Yup, I don't get around these parts much these days mainly because (a) there isn't much going on in my life these days, (b) most of 'the old crowd' who I used to communicate with on a daily basis are rarely on here anymore and (c) quite frankly, lockdown (and a subsequent lack of work) has left me in a hugely depressive state, one that's put me back on the happy pills for the first time in a long time... and they ain't really working. I just didn't want to get into whining about my life as opposed to the hugely funny, intelligent and charming chappie that you all remember me being... ahem. ::) ;)
But, again, thanks for the concern, I just happened to log on today after a few beers and the fact that I was missed has put a smile on my face. Much appreciated, hoping to make it to Notts Rockers in November!

Master Ray, good to hear that you‘re still out there..and for the lack of clever words about your condition, i‘m sending you some understanding. Thanks for opening up and being honest and giving a sign of life. These time just are depressing and sometimes you have to go some step backwards in life it seems.
At least for me, i also would say i‘m in a more quiet depressed state than a normal one and struggeling to see some sense around me and almost Sitting in a chair crying what am I going to do with my life? ;) and i kind of feel like i‘m 19 again and just feel that i don‘t and won‘t ever fit in this society and all that it is demanding of me.
Kind of been there, done that, grew over it.. but it's happening again.
So my going through this is at the moment overloaded with lots of beer, being alone, trying to watch some movies...the old ones. And sometimes even that just doesn't work.
BUT ...i think i just received a good remedy for me and you'll know why i'm mentioning it, it is DARK STAR ;-) Finally i found a good production on blu, everything until now only had vhs quality and it has a 2 hour documentary on it. :D :D
I think i can imagine myself into that spaceship of boredom and madness ;D
Take your time and i hope you will join here again to write silly things about things with us here.

It will all be back again old son. I think the impact of lock-down is a whole different world of suffering aside from the virus itself. - Deserving of a separate topic here.

Cheers, chhulhu, yes, I've been a bit 'black dog on my shoulder' these days but it's nothing new for me, been there before, gotten over it and I will do again!
Ghosttrain, I have every bit of faith that everything will work out for me, in somewhat of a slump right now but, hey, been there before and it didn't kill me! ;)

Hello again
I aint been on here for ages
Busy at work building a new railway at Barking Riverside, hopefully about 4 weeks left and then back to my 185 miles and 3 hour commute to carlisle where Im based
Apart from work Ive been getting out on my monkey bike and getting loads of miles in and just starting to get back to a few gigs
Did beautiful Days for the first time and getting back into the pit with a few likeminded souls for the Army set was worth the ticket price alone
Went to see ferocious Dog at the Peak Cavern, Devil's Arse Cave, Derbyshire a couple of weeks ago and The Ruts DC at the New Cross last week, great gig, one advantage of working darn sarf :)
Did the Justin acoustic set at Notts Arboreteum, got tix for Blackballed next Fri and Sat, Kubix, JS at Bedford, Leeds, sheffield,London and Wolves
Also got tix for Army at Glasgow, Rock City, Amsterdam and Koln but like many others waiting for confirmation if these will go ahead and finally Terrorvision in Bradford on 27th Dec
Hope evryone is ok and loking forward to seeing you all soon and sitting down for a pint and a chat
