Title: New Model Army (2 of them anyway) on Huw Stephens' show today
Post by: REC29 on April 11, 2025, 03:21:32 PM
Late notice, but just in case anyone is around and interested, 2 of NMA will be playing live on Huw Stephens' radio show on BBC6Music this afternoon (Friday April 11). Of course, if you want to come back to it later the show will be on BBC Sounds (for a month?).

He is in Bradford celebrating tomorrow's Record Store Day.

Have a great weekend all.

This is the link to Friday's show. Justin and Dean were on after the 5:30 news, so if you go forward to half way through the show, that will be it. Bit of chat and 3 songs (Snelsmore Wood, You Weren't There and Green and Grey).

I hadnt got round to listening to the show yet, but strangely I was thinking about "Snelsmore Wood" today. Back in early 1996, Justin played at a Newbury benefit gig at my favourite nightclub in Bradford, not long back from Newbury himself and full of anger, not least because he'd had a chunk of hair pulled out by one of the yellowjackets. I could be wrong in my memory after nearly 30 years, but I'd swear he debuted "Snelsmore Wood" that night, two years before it was part of the acoustic set on the "Strange Brotherhood" tour?
