Title: Big Guitars (and keyboards) Little Europe
Post by: citymike on March 03, 2012, 08:53:58 PM
Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but since it's to do with live recordings...

Have there been any recordings made which would facilitate production of an album similar to the JS/ DB album recorded in the early nineties?? I had the pleasure of attending the Hyde show a little under a year ago and would love a permanent reminder of the evening's sheer class.

There was a full gig streamed live last year. I'm sure someone will have a link to it on one of the file share sites...... It was top notch sound wise aswell.

I want a nice CD with nice packaging though!... seriously, I generally have problems with such matters being a complete technofoolio, and streams etc like the one you mention even if superb quality never reach the standards of sound that official releases reach.

I know what you mean, I buy everything, more than once more often than not aswell...... I don't even want official downloads of lp's. I want THE thing, the actual three dimensional thing, with a cover n what have you. But I'm old school like that I guess.....

I'm not sure if the fact that ambient mics (side of the stage, left and right, facing into the audience) are in evidence means that the show is being recorded but they were being used at most (if not all) of the shows I went to at the back end of last year and a couple of weeks ago.
