Just Sunday afternoon. Have a weekend ticket but the small matters of a UK Subs gig at home on the Friday and some northern blokes in Bilston on the Saturday have messes up my original plans!

Not going Friday, travelling home after it ends on Sunday.   The in between bits are not confirmed yet!  May take small tent and camp for one night on Sat or try and do it there and back by public transport....unless someone else volunteers to drive back on the Saturday night.

Last band, main stasge on Sunday......
Best I can offer I'm afraid, I'd guess 9 or 9.30 coz I don't think they can over run their times much at the site........

That's fine thanks.  Just trying to work out how late we can get there as we'll have our little boy with us.  Really hoping he'll let us both watch them...!

Had my little tribe with us at Rock n Bike last year. Youngest loved it, he was 4. Took him down the front on my shoulders and second row vantage point was to his liking in front of Marshall. Middle un was 9 and a kindly Yorkshirebird's Otherhalf assisted and got him next to us at tyhe front. To equal effect. =)
Brilliant weekend, I'm hoping fer the same this weekend. Tho' I'm minus the young uns this time, our lass is home n child minding duties while get spannered! ::)

It's good when they enjoy it too!  Trouble is, our little one is a determined little 2 and a half year old and sometimes has different ideas about what we should be doing, plus it'll be past his bed time.  We very rarely get to go anywhere together since he arrived, so I'm hoping it'll be ok!

setlist, reports, pics from Strummercamp anyone? Hope it didn't rain there as much as it did here last night... and that the band managed to find enough serviceable kit

Well it was raining most of the day, but was pleasently surprised that all the music was under cover.

The band had managed to borrow bits of kit from other bands and in true "ragged crew" tradition the show did go on.  Things got even tougher when a leak in the roof above the keyboard took that out during the sound check, much to Dean's annoyance. So most of the set was played as four piece - which evidently meant last minute changes to the setlist as they were playing. A tough start for Ceri's second gig...

But resilience and never say die won through and I for one thought it was a cracking gig. The bastard van thieves were in everyone's mind for Vengeance and The Hunt, which added even more emotion.

I can never remember a setlist the next day, but songs played included (not necessarily in this order)...:

GMO
NOTHING DIES EASY
VENGEANCE
TIAGD
THE HUNT
FRIGHTENED
ARCHWAY TOWERS
HCTW
BETTER THAN THEM
STUPID QUESTIONS
VAGABONDS
WWTG

----------

GREEN AND GREY

------------------------
All in all a nice little festival, run by volunteers and with a chilled atmosphere.
Also enjoyed: Stand Out Riot, Dirty North, Neck.

Ain't seen any You Tube videos before that capture so well the NMA pit experience live; thanks for sharing. Seems like you all made the best of the weather and the band go on despite the thieving instrument snatchers

I had a great time. Despite my dodgy knee prohibiting me from getting involved in any of the mayhem down the front. I really enjoyed the show especially 'Frightened' which is such a fitting song for these times. But 'My Country' would be even better!
The new lad is a great choice if his second ever performance is anything to go by. I had a quick chat to him afterwards and he is top bloke to boot.

Aside from that I thought the band handled the whole theft thing really well. They played a storming set with other peoples instruments and gave us a great gig despite everything that had befallen them. Without their pedals and other tools that were missing they sounded a bit more Killing Joke'ish than usual which was nice raw variation on what we are used to. The stripped down sound gave a great reminder of what a tight band they are. Top night.

Wish I'd seen em in Bilston too.

On a negative side....shame about the circumstances and conditions they played....BUT, in a way added to the performance to make a positive. Thanks to all !
We enjoyed it :)
