... I seem to remember that in the years between HOPELESS CAUSES and STRANGE BROTHERHOOD, I saw a poster for Red Sky Coven that said Justin Sullivan (ex-of new Model Army)...
Was there ever a point, back then, when NMA were no more? Both this website and The Magazine seem to be a bit vague on that..?

JS said in an interview that he 'left' a couple of times but never for more than a day! Something like that anyway.....but they've never officially split. Certainly not publicly anyway ;D

it was the wilderness years tho by the sounds, I think a lot of us thought they had split as they seemed to disappear for a fair long while after Hopeless Causes... seeing SB come out was something of a relief, it has to be said

I thought they had split. Timelines now are hazy. I remember seeing RSC in Manchester sometime in the mid nineties and Justin was sat on his own later on after the gig and I went over, got his autograph and told him never to give it up. I actually just cringed thinking about it. He must have thought I was a right numpty.

As far as I remember they never "officially" split but whether or not NMA as a unit actually existed all the time seems a bit of grey area. A new album after LOHC did seem unlikely for a while.
As for the poster - am I right in thinking that there was a thread somewhere once that had pics of old posters? If i'm right then was there a picture of 1 in there? Cos that rings a bell and I never actually saw that poster myself.

I remember reading a report of a music festival in Strasbourg, in the french music magazine Rock & Folk, where the writer was saying that the NMA gig at this festival was their "farewell" gig...back in summer 1996.

I remember seeing RSC in 94 or 95 and Justin said there were no definite plans for the future (or something to that effect). He did play 'Carrying on' which I assumed was about that. Another great 'lost' song.
