For you non-facebookers out there, this is on the FB page:
BETWEEN WINE AND BLOOD - CHRISTMAS 2014
We want to build on the spirit of musical adventure that "Between Dog and Wolf" began and close the year with a series of very special concerts we have called the "Between Wine and Blood" tour.
The show will consist of two performances.
The "Blood" set which starts the show will be a no frills rock set. We will perform songs old and new, but there will be a particular smattering from the early albums , the first of which "Vengeance" will celebrate it's 30th anniversary this year.
The "Wine" set will be a special performance where we will play , accompanied by special guest musicians, songs from across our catalogue with arrangements not previously possible outside the studio.
The dates are as follows:
December
12th London - The Forum
Tickets: Ticketmaster.co.uk, Ticketweb.co.uk
13th Nottingham - Rock City
Tickets: http://alt-tickets.co.uk/alttickets/event_ate_18672a.html
19th Paris - TBC
20th Koln - Palladium
21st Amsterdam - Melkweg
More ticket links and Paris confirmation to follow

-

-
See you all at the Forum
-
Errm, yes, I think I might pop my head round the door at the Rock City gig ::)
"Blood" for the 1st half no frills rock set. How apt.
Which pit-ping-ponger has shed at bit in the pit in the past :D
-
Nottingham..... the day after my birthday..... could be a plan forming right there :D
-
Excellent news, Koln and Amsterdam for me. :)
-
OMG... Fantastic news! If we just could afford the October gigs this would be very interesting too.
-
Fantastic news! I have a feeling this might the year I finally make it to the continent for some of the Xmas shows... ;)
-
Could that mean that we may finally get to hear Qasr al Nil Bridge?
Wish I could be there.
-
Great news my husband and I will be looking forward to it very much :)
So Today is a really good day ;D ;D
-
Marvellous! Not keen on London gigs and never been to one in Nottingham (which is most unbefitting an Archer) so I think Rock City here I come
8)

Anna, hope you make it to Nottingham as I'm hoping to... for my money, it's the very best venue in the country and God knows, I've been to a few. Also a great drinking town... but you'll have to ask a certain gentleman named Shush for the inside story on that one...
To be fair, I've only been to The Forum once, back in 2006, thought it was a pretty decent venue, but Rock City is great...
-
Fck it am going to Nottingham Didn't get to any of the recent gigs n pissed off about it Cash might be tight but i can afford a ticket right now and lets face it gives me plenty of time to get trains hotel and spending money sorted Am very excited by the blood n wine sets and exactly what it will mean especially the wine set. Think these are nma gigs definitely not to be missed
-
Hotel booked! Ticket will be bought shortly when I have a few spare quid! Expectation... through the roof. I've seen NMA dozens of times but this might actually be something completely different, yet equally fantastic...
Oh well, only eight months to go, eh?
;D
-
Shouldn't you have bought the tickets first Ray lol
Seriously though where about in Nottingham are you staying been looking at where is near on goggle maps Premier inn looks close enough
-
Des' booked the travelodge in notts , £45.
He's quick off the mark!!
-
Go for the Premier Inn in Goldsmith Street, right around the corner from NRC... very clean and comfy. I have a reservation there, £77, yeah that's a lot of money but you can cancel right up until the day before the gig without a penny leaving your pocket if you find somewhere cheaper. Book it, then you are sure of a place to lay your head...
... and though I might not have the cash for a ticket right now, I'm working on it, should have it booked in the next few days...
;)
-
As Gayle suggests, the Travel Lodge on Maid Marion Way, only around 4-5 mins away from the venue, and quite cheap for city centre.
Glad to hear so many here planning to do the Rock City date. Don't want to wish away the rest of the year, but already looking forward to it. And on a Saturday night again. TOP BANANA !!
-
We've booked the Premier Inn Nottingham West, which is at Pheonix Park, the end of the tram line next to the M1. Currently £35 in advance. The last tram is about midnight.
We hailed a cab one year, about 1:30am and that was just over a tenner.
-
Just got ticket. Travel lodge on Maid Marian ways good. Have also stayed at Days Inn I think it was on Wollaton street. Shall book hotel later this month. :)
-
My girlfriend has just been to Rock City and picked us up ticket no's 1-5 :D
Is it a crime to be this excited with 226 days to go? ;)
-
Ticket booked for Nottingham Hotel next Can't book train till 3 months before i think
I'm so excited lol
-
Welbeck Hotel. Right next door to Rock City. Stayed there last year and booked there again this year for £60. It's ideal and much less expensive than it looks!

-
im so excited im about to loose control and i think i like it ;D between wine and blood sounds like a pint of cider to me :)

Nottingham and London tickets booked.
Maybe this time we should follow the lead of people on here and book accommodation too, to avoid last minute rush and subsequent 3 mile walk in the rain to the only spare rooms (like last time)...

Can anyone suggest a decent place to park near the Forum as I'll be driving home afterwards just in case the gig doesn't finish in time and I can get to Kings Cross for the last train North at 2330

Not near the Forum (and even if there are parking spaces it's gonna be very expensive cos it's central) but if you're driving anyway you might consider parking at a tube station a bit further out that's convenient for you (as in, on your way in/out of London); many of those from zone 3/4 outwards have got car parks. The last tubes are - depending on where you're going to - between 12 and 1 so you'll have plenty of time no matter where you need to go.

If I go on train I need to get the last train North out of Kings Cross at 2330 or I may do as you say and park at a tube station
Cheers

Look on the Forum's website, they have two car parks where you can park after 6pm, and i think they are free, you just need to reserve your space.

It's a 11pm curfew so assuming the tube is running ok you will get back to kings cross easily by 11.30 it is only 3 or 4 stops

Thought about Melkweg for our first anniversary but with Niecy`s new grandchild here, December at home looks more on the cards. It`s about time we went back to Rock City though ;)
-
Had to go and buy tickets for the Melkweg show. Not seen the boys this year :'( so a trip to Dam will sort that.
All the best
