Title: How to get to Celle and Frankfurt during train strike?
Post by: Amandistan on October 17, 2014, 01:53:19 PM
I am a bit worried about this as I will be a stranded American.is anyone headed to these two gigs by car? If they could help me in any way, I would be greatful and contribute to  petrol.  I am traveling completely alone. I am really worried.

The people on strike live in a country with workers rights and an actual living wage. In other counries they would be fired for this. It's inconvenient to many people and a bit selfish to be honest.

Have to disagree on the living wage comment though and the right to strike. The timings not the best for a lot of people due to an NMA tour but if was another time would you really care, probably not.
In other countries people may get sacked for striking thank god this isn't one of them then.

I agree with you Markxe - Unions in the US have been castrated to the point that collective bargaining has become a joke.

It's sorted. Thanks Stefan.

Personally I work up to 90 hours a week, often forced into over time and somtimes dont even get a break to eat on a double shift.i also dont make that much money. This seems like a more valid reason to strike. Not getting paid a little more. I am also a bit envious too I guess.
