Well a fitted Ladies version of the workshirt would be nice and not sure ( ::) ) if I've mentioned this before but VESTS. Not the thin strappy ones, a proper one like this:

http://www.truffleshuffle.co.uk/store/ladies-black-corrosive-metallica-vest-p-13660.html

Something like that would make for a very happy Anna  ;D

Shush, I agree with that one absolutely. Not sure about the underpants, although you could have the lyrics from Aimless Desire printed on them.

Obviously a re run of old shirts, hoodies etc especially a cheaper version than the limited auction issue of 'Only Stupid Bastards.., I'd also like a reissue of the 20th Anniversary hooide after I lost mine in a pub in Southend and the 3rd Battle of Newbury long sleeved shirt

Vinyl versions (preferably heavyweight) of the CD only releases

Engraved pint glasses

Yes please - some illegitimate person nicked mine off me at university - I can remember the front but what was on the back?

Find it a bit odd they do not already do a badge  :-\ A tin badge press doesn't cost much. There is someone on ebay making all manor  of music related badges and selling them for a quid. I have purchased several classic NMA logo badges from him, as when wearing one, I end up giving them away to friends who want one.  Would rather be paying the NMA shop for such. If they had them in stock, I am sure many would add them to their order if they were a quid .

Another vote for the classic Tshirt designs.  I'd love to have an Impurity album design, my first NMA T... fell to pieces many years ago.

Also, wouldn't mind one of those 'Hippies With Attitude' ones...  :-\

I'd buy another Impurity one and also another T & C one.

Oh yes, advance order for me please. Maybe with the album cover "Space Sings" on it,  Red and Brown sauce bottles, and a few infamous quotes.  ;D

I'd like a Tshirt with the Space 12-inch cover on it (love that design)... on the back, possibly red/ brown sauce bottles in a skull and crossbones kind of way?  With THIS face   ::)  over the top?
Title: Re: What merchandise should they sell that they don't?
Post by: Shush on February 03, 2015, 10:05:05 PM
12 inch, don't think he would do one, doesn't like songs that are too long  ;D

Love the skull and cross bottle logo idea though.

Maybe with the album cover "Space Sings" on it,

Reckon I can improve that one...................  ;)  8)  ;D

Back to the topic - I'd also like some nail art transfers  :)

To be honest, I'd like to have a pro coat, goretex coat or similar with stitched but not too big logos. Not badges but stitched straight into the coat. How much is an average goretex coat in pounds? Normal price + extra for work with logos; transport; +NMA shop profit. Making one of your own wouldn't look as good as the one made in fabric.

Backpacks and other bags.

Thermos mugs.

I`d like sweat-shirts or shirts with long sleeves or  vests (classic logo hoody without sleeves) with one or too more pockets (ziggy, mobile), mugs for less than 8 €

More jewelry but made out of cheaper materials than silver.
NMA anti-then travel wallets may be nice as on my last NMA adventure all was stolen probably by some greek kids.

Also light weight hoodies in small sizes.
I wish they would sell more smaller clothing at gigs but understand. I was told it did not sell.

Some of those Tour T shirts if they can be reissued would be great A lot of my old ones are getting worn so much they are getting holes. One in Particular is my 2006 US Tour  New Model Army Tee the one with the Purple Letters and Purple celtic Dogs on the back. I had more compliments about that Shirt and a Hoodie of the same colors would not be to bad.

Matter of fact all Concert Tour T shirts would be fantastic they should look at the celtic dog series in particular. I still have they red and white I have the purple I did not get a chance to get I saw one time an off greyone from another Tour if they have not made a green one now that would be cool.  Those T shirts were some of the best looking Tees I have seen.  8)

On that note, I have often thought it would be good if JS wrote his own autobiography. I wonder if it is something he has thought about, or maybe plans to do one day. Or maybe he has dismissed such an idea it being better to stick to song writing  :-\

I know that Justin repeatedly says he isn't interested in raking over the past (something I totally respect) but... dammit, this stuff is IMPORTANT!   :D

Someone like John Robb (who has written several excellent books on music and also supported NMA in the past with his band Gold Blade) would be an ideal fit...

Someone like John Robb

Yeah - good writer. Met him once up in Inverness of all places. I was up there Auditing while the Local & Live festival thing was on. I wandered into some pub one evening because I liked what I heard as I walked past. I was stood at the bar, sporting my trusty NMA fleece and he came over to me, complimented me on my fleece and we had a quick chat. Seemed like a thoroughly decent sort of chap. Reckon he'd do a fine job.

But then I do believe Joolz has at times threatened to write her autobiography which may contain a few interesting chapters  :)

Back to merchandise though.....

How about Leggings ?  :-*

OK... howzabout multiple live albums?  We all love the likes of '**** Texas' etc, but we all want THAT recording of THAT show... no overdubs, straight off the soundboard (NMA don't need that shit!), band / audience reactions and all, stuck onto 2 CD's with minimal artwork (unless Joolz fancies otherwise...) available at an affordable price...

Plenty of bands do this, going down the whole official bootleg route... we all know there's a market for that stuff... even if there was no 'physical' release, it could be a download thing...  I'm sure there'd be plenty of interest from folks like us with their credit cards at the ready...  :D

IMO, anyway...  :-\

Most importantly - the vinyl releases of all fhe albums that haven't been available, either at all or for a long time. And maybe also some tapes as well, I hear they're getting back again... A book of interviews or newspaper articles would also be nice to have, along with a nicely shaped band-biography book with some rare photos and detailed chronicle. I know they are not much into looking back, but getting all the scattered info, when you feel like knowing it, is not much fun, there's a 1000 questions I'd like to ask Justin sometimes... So a nice BIG book of band biography would be more then welcome. I do like the magazine that was out few years ago, I go back to it sometimes, but it's a short read...

I'd go for a plain pewter casting to hang on bags or use as a zip pull - couple of inches across, just with an eyelet attached.

T&C - obviously.
BDAW - the horned man, and the dogs too.  Hey, even the spearcarrier.
Strange Brotherhood - lidless eye.
Today is a Good Day lily

I'd even frame those mofo's.

Maybe someone already mentioned these...
- headphones (the circular logo on the sides of cans would be pretty nice)
- little tin (pill) boxes (again, the old, circular logo...)
- scarecrows (with antlers and stuff... :)
- big, rectangular stickers to put on notebooks (pen and paper ones), oh, and on laptops (Maybe even just the great artwork with none or just a small logo...)

In 87 I bought some NMA socks. Would also like to see a choice of organic ts and hoods. Cotton uses huge amounts of pesticides and artificial fertiilzers.

I can recall a bit of a discussion about this a few years ago. Joolz made the point that it wasn't practical to get large scale tshirts done on organic. I wasn't overly convinced (I occasionally get tshirts printed up so have a fair idea of costs/volumes) - but now the cost of organic/fair trade has become even more affordable - so would defo like to see some choice as opposed to bog standard Gildan tshirts

Shopping bags - canvas or heavy cotton.  Think this would be a excellent idea,  very environmental friendly and in keeping with the bands ideals. Let's face it paper bags are useless
