Just found this single whilst looking for something else... some kind of charity single done in the early 90's... love it!

Have the 7 inch vinyl, its a bit scratchy as it a ex-jukebox single
-
Also available on CD single

A long time ago, someone on the board sent a download link to it. A few years later someone asked about it and I uploaded to youtube. The only contribution I have ever made to social media.

love this version. Marks harmonica is superb and it's probably the best collaboration Tom did. There were I think 4 different CD versions with multiple versions by different bands and that was just the indie version. I've seen the NMA and Tom Jones CD on eBay for £60 and £70. Never tried to se'll mine though!

There were multiple singles done for a homeless peoples charity, the gimmick was that they were putting diverse acts together... yup this is when NMA were considered a 'new / cool' act... :D
Bloody love it but I had genuinely forgotten about it, just found my CD single the other night... thought I'd post here in case non-UK folks had never heard it...

Blimey - can't remember the last time I played that. Worth remembering on the next particularly tight month ;D
-
I can remember them playing it live without tom Jones if memory if right it was a encore on the lohc tour they definitely played it at the Glasgow barrowlands
-
It was certainly played live roundabout the LOHC tour... not a Stones fan , but it is a ******* great tune...
Dammit, perhaps Mr Jones and NMA should reform... 'The Green And Grey Grass Of Home'? 'Sex Bomb (The Black Angel)?
???

Want to add that Mr Jones was always full of praise for nma at the time i believe he said they were an extremely talented group of guys

Crazy prices

Fair play to them all for doing this for this cause, but it's awful! Can't stand Tom's fruity voice, he's ruins everything he gets his throat on (see: Prince's Kiss).
Would have loved just an NMA version! :-*

Not quite a full NMA version, mate, but the next best thing...?
