Hello,
is there someone out there who has a complete list of all the NMA songs (from official releases) that have NOT been released/re-issued on CD?
B sides, live versions that do not appear on the "All of this" compilation or on the double disc reissues of the albums etc etc.
stuff like the Reggae version of "Stupid Questions" for instance. "No Greater Love" from the No Rest/Heroin 12" etc.
Thanks a lot!

Reggae version of "Stupid Questions"
What? This I have to hear. Anyone have a link to this?
-
I second that Szmurf. :)

I've got the reggae version on SQ on vinyl somewhere, but I no longer have a record player. Haven't heard it for years and I'm struggling to remember what it sounds like. Quite fun, I think. It's on a 12" single, but I can't even remember which one. Surprising as I'm normally a bit of a geek about these things. Just checked Youtube, but nobody's uploaded it there.
What about that version of Brave New World with a piano at the beginning. Probably the same piano they used for Brave New World 2! It's on an indie compilation l.p. called Product 2783 or something like that, but I've never come across it anywhere else.

Maybe Gaijin, Red or Dawnrazer might know nearly complete lists of these songs?
-
Space 12" has the Reggae version on it.

I've got a 12 inch Hard Techno remix version of 51st State
Now that is different ;D ;D ;D
Obviously not an official release :)

I mentioned recently about that reggae version of Stupid Questions... tried to find a link to it, failed miserably...
Still got the vinyl, but no way of putting it onto the 'net...
To be fair, from what I remember, it's a curiosity at best, not a must-hear classic...

I agree. Kinda like the Muppet theme that they played occasionally on the Impurity tour. Just a bit of fun.

BUMP...
It's been such a long time since I visited, it's nice to see someone remembered me...
There aren't too many tracks that have a vinyl only appearance.
Here's what I'm missing for starters:
Fashion (Live)
The Cause (Live) Both from flexi-disc free with Bittersweet 7"
RIP 7" b-side version
My Country (Live at Coventry Poly) - Poison Street
Lights Go Out (Dub Version)
My Country (Live at Biskuithalle) - I Love the world US Promo
Family Life (Live) - Space 7"
If anyone here has something from this list to share, please get in touch. ;)
These are the rest that come to mind:
Heroin 7"
Brave new world 12"
The Charge (Live) from Green and Grey 7"
Stupid Questions (Stupid Mix)
125MPH (Harmonica Version)
Get Me Out (12" Mix)
Bury the Hatchet (Live) - Space 10"
No Rest (Live) - Space 12"
Stupid Questions (Reggae Version - Live) Space 12"
3 x Live tracks from the GLC Festival on the Ltd No Rest 12" pack. (Although the whole 8 track tape is available).
I think the reggae version of SQ is great, here's a linky thingy so you can form your own opinion: http://www22.zippyshare.com/v/1EDM75vo/file.html

that took me to a sound file for 'bury the stupid'..... really wanted to hear the reggae thing :D

Hi,
The 12" version of Brave New World can be found on the compilation cd 'Product 2378'. Although originally released in 1989, copies can still be found; some other good tunes on this cd too.

Maybe it's a PEBKAC problem.
Try it again now please.

Maybe it's a PEBKAC problem.
seems a bit harsh ...
"Related terms such as PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair), ID-10T error (idiot error), and other similar phrases are also used as slang in technical circles with derogatory meaning.[1] This usage implies a lack of computer savvy, asserting that problems arising when using a device are the fault of the user."

My Country (Live at Coventry Poly) - Poison Street
Lights Go Out (Dub Version)
My Country (Live at Biskuithalle) - I Love the world US Promo
Family Life (Live) - Space 7"
My Country @Coventry Poly is on the "All Of This - live rarities" CD issued by EMI at the end of the 90's.
But I'm sure there is another (live) version of My Country from the vinyl Whitecoats EP that has not been issued on CD, which I think was recorded in Nottingham.
Also got a feeling there's a version of Family Life on the Green & Grey vinyl.

this 12" version is not the same as the one on B-Sides & Abandoned Tracks ?

According to Peter's site you're right, this version of My Country on WhiteCoats EP is from Nottingham

Green&Grey has Family Life live from London T&C 1989

No, the b-sides and abandoned tracks version is the previously unreleased Gregovich mix which is shorter at 5:17 when compared with the extended 12" mix that is around 5:42. These two versions are quite different, especially the intro, and it is the longer, extended 12" mix that appears on the Product 2378 cd. You can find both versions on YouTube.

You're welcome Patrice, I'm glad you found it!

There were 4 releases of 'My Country - Live' available on singles.
Coventry '86 - This version is on 'Poison Street' 2X12", which is also on 'All of This - The Live Rarities'.
Nottingham '87 - on the 'White Coats' 12", the 'New Model Army' mini-lp and the US promo only 'I Love The World' 12".
@ Patrice: 'The Charge: T&C 89' was used on the Green and Grey 7" and it's not found on CD yet. A version of 'Family Life: T&C 90' was used on the 'Space' 7" and it too is not to be found on a CD.
Incidentally, the version of 'My Country' on the I Love the World US promo was debunked here: https://www.discogs.com/New-Model-Army-I-Love-The-World/release/1647864 (Scroll down to the comments).

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I don't think the acapella rendering of "The Mermaid" hiding at the end of the vinyl "White Coats" has ever made it to CD?
-
It's on all of this live rarities
