It's kind of obvious that a member here who posted on a daily basis is no longer posting. Been over a month since he last posted anything. Hope all is well, but is anything the matter with Master Ray?

That's a great shout. I sent him a PM last week I think and usually he responds the same evening, however I have heard nothing back.
I used to have his mobile number but I've not got it anymore.
Ray if you are out there give us a shout.

As a caring human being, I was simply wondering if any illness might have befallen the fellow. Concern for a fellow human being. Nobody, especially Whirlwind, wants harm to come to others.

Yeah, I (and I alone) showed concern over his absence.
But I don't want anybody here to change their well ingrained idea of who Whirlwind is. I am still a bastard. Just because I worried over Master Ray don't get the impression that Whirlwind is an old softie.

Well. This is odd. As Shush said, I have been moving house and am now on a new internet provider... but I've been posting for a couple of days and this thread has only just shown up on my laptop. Anyone else had this problem before?
Spacewind, I was wondering what you were on about in a post on a different thread... sadly, the cynical part of me thinks you were posting purely to get a reaction that you could twist into something antagonistic (as proven by the way you said that i have no friends here other than yourself... yeah, tell that to the numerous people here I have hung out with, laughed with, drank with, etc..) but, hey, just in case you were trying to be nice, I'll offer the old olive branch again and ask you to do the same. Not optimistic, but hey, who knows?

I made a gesture of friendship (more fool me!) a day or two ago. No communication in kind. Obviously.
I apologised to you twice in the past when our communication got somewhat heated... you have never apolgised to me for your PM's that called me 'an insect', ''so far beneath me' and insulted my ill father. Just a vague comment about bringing stuff up that was 'years ago', as if that was enough.
Well, I fell for this bollocks once again, what a stupid cnut I am for doing it, what can I say, I try to believe that people have good in them. But some people are just trolls, losers just desperate for attention, and Spacewind is one.
Looking forward to seeing my NMA friends in Chester and Nottingham. Proper friends.

Seriously, I actually was a bit concerned over the sudden disappearance of a member who posted on a daily basis. And let's be honest here, New Model Army fans are not exactly in their teens and twenties so when one disappears suddenly it is cause for some concern.

MR was grateful and held out an olive branch, it actually says that, but you in usual fashion chose to read the rest of it and take that up as a fight.
In life Whirlwind there are far too many people willing to take offence where none is meant for various motivations. Life is difficult enough without people with hair trigger sensibilities adding to it.

Good to see you back Ray. My partner and I were up in Chester a couple of weeks ago - stayed for a week just South of the city. My first visit there. Great city ! Saw Ed Alleyne-Johnson busking and had a chat with him. Also saw where the Live Rooms is when we used Chester railway station for a trip to Liverpool. Should be a great night there - it's my birthday that night too ! Can't make it back up there for that unfortunately, but definitely want to come back again some time and explore the area some more. :)

Hi Tony, glad you liked Chester, it's a lovely place. Yes, I've chatted with Ed several times there, he busks there an awful lot... and of course when NMA play Chester, there's always the tantalising possibility that he might show up at the gig and play a number or two... ;)

Yeah, we really liked Chester. Had a good meal in the Bear and Billett on Lower Bridge Street, where we met up with a NMA board poster from many years ago - "Paul B". He lives in Chester now, having been in South America for many years. He'll be going to the Live Rooms - says he can't believe how lucky he is to be able to walk to a NMA gig from home ! ;D

Hey, Red, good to hear from you.
Personal circumstances are preventing me from doing too many gigs this time around, but I was always going to miss Manchester this time around, I've seen the lads there several times and just fancied a change (especially seeing as I'll see all the usual suspects in Nottingham the month after), was hoping to make it to Newcastle but that ain't happening now and I can get a late train back home from Chester, so no need to book a hotel! Looking forward to going to The Live Rooms again, great venue.
BTW, I moved house recently and I'm only a few minutes away from The Corner Bar so if you're ever around these parts again let me know, I get in there a couple of times a week!

Well... personally I'd prefer to focus on 'the lady of the hour', if you know what I mean, but if both parties want to see what other folks are up to, maybe get some inspiration if things are cooling off in their own bedroom then, hey, have at it! ;D
