Justin and friends dvd
« on: January 20, 2013, 12:15:17 PM »
It’s been out for a very long time I know, but I wanted to give a plug for the Justin and Friends DVD in the shop (I was given it as a Christmas present) .
I like the Justin and Dean gigs, but I only usually buy full band DVDs, but this is great – very atmospheric – I especially liked the version of Aimless Desire – I had never really listened to that song as much as others, or thought about the lyrics – very poignant. I will resist the temptation to go on and on here about all the other tracks - needless to say, it's all good!
Recommend :)

Yeah top DVD, the Justin and Dean shows are just something else, there's a power without having the drums and Marshall thrashing the sh1te out of a Les Paul, but the presence is there without them somehow. I have gained a lot of enjoyment from learning to play a lot of Justin's acoustic material on my guitar this last two years and songs like Bad Old World and White Light sound incredible unplugged.

This is one of my prized DVDs, the sort of thing, harking back to another thread of recently, that you'd probably go back into the fire for!
