Hello
« on: January 19, 2014, 09:13:36 PM »
Ive loitered round here for some time and felt it it was about time I registered and said hello.

I started listening to NMA sometime between T&C and Impurity - Id saved up from my Saturday job, collecting supermarket tolleys, and bought a CD player but I couldn't afford any CDs so had to get them from the library. T&C was one of the CDs from the library and it was an instant hit, as was everything in the back catalogue.

Sometime after Love of Hopeless Causes the new music seemed less relevant to me but Id still buy the albums out of love for what had gone before. The release of the 30th Anniversary Concerts had me flicking back and catching up and realising what I had been missing.

Anyways, Hello :-)

Hello and welcome. I had a job collecting supermarket trolleys when I was 16. It was good fun.

Why was life so much simpler then?

Heck, I ALSO had a job collecting supermarket trolleys when I was 16, I'm not joking!  Did it on Thurs and Fri nights and all day Saturday, made about £35 a week!  Good money for a teenager back then!   :D

Hello nkdublu, keep posting  ;)

Had two paper rounds when I was 16. Wasn't on the massive £35 wage Master Race was on, but I think it made me appreciate my own dosh after I had worked hard for it

Hi nkdublu,

I had a weekend job in McDonalds at 16 but that's too long ago to remember what I earned. It was even pre NMA discovery it was that long ago  :o

Thankyou for the welcome.

Im feeling rather pleased with myself atm, Ive been showing my 4 year old girl the childrens t-shirts in the shop and much to her mums (Not a NMA fan) horror she told her she wanted a blue New Model Army T shirt with a picture of the sun on it. Better still because she got a reaction, she wants it even more!

And to top it all off I wasn't even in the house so it cant have been a set up :) To be fair to my better half she is taking it in good spirts
