So - I got a link sent for the video.  It's on YouTube, so I'm guessing it's expected to be freely shared:

in case you haven't seen it.

Did anyone here go to the footy match? Did the lads manage to last 90 minutes , I couldn't .

It wasn't a full 90 minute match, but the lads did well. 2-2 in the first half (using 1864 rules), followed by 3-0 in the second half (with modern rules). Michael scored a couple of goals, including one from near the halfway line...

Me neither M/Ray, but if people I think a lot of are supporting a decent charity, I feel obliged to support them with it. Just like when my good man Barty did his charity swims last year, and with Joolz and her Shetland Pony appeal.

The Word Cup in Brazil will be played by the richest footy players on earth, while in the burbs near by are some of the poorest people in South America.

I think the NMA are involved in a good thing. And the song they have sorted is pretty damn good -- as we can reliably expect.

I hope it does well.

I think the song is ok and it's for a good cause. So good on them!

Listened to it Saturday morning with the girlfriend, who's not a NMA fan and we both loved it straightaway. She even posted it on her Facebook page... which is usually full of rubbish!

It's a good song and a good cause. Well Done :)

Can't say I'm a massive football fan (more a passive Love Of A Hopeless Cause - Derby County!!!!) but I do think what these guys do is incredible and they seemed genuine too. To travel the world bringing people together with just a football? Forget the politics of a uber sporting event like the world cup and think about the 30,000 odd people who will sign that ball as it wanders round the globe so that by the end it's pretty much solid black and all of those names somehow linked together for a common goal (pun fully intended!). Check out the videos from previous world cup journeys as they are pretty inspiring and if you feel like it tell anyone you know who might be interested or give if you can. :-*

Oh and the song is pretty good too  :)

I love football - I'm a Santos F.C. fan since 1970. But I'm aware of the shady deals that football has always been surrounded by. But the Brazil World Cup, as most world cups organised in Third World countries, thrives on exploiting poor workers and paying slave wages, while these workers sweat blood (and some die!) to build billion-dollar stadiums. And in June there have been millions of people in the streets of Brazil protesting against huge sums of money that had been granted to build these stadiums.

By the way, another great NMA tune!
