Who was at that gig because i am so jealous?

I was in a foster home at the time and managed to get hold of a radio from my foster parents to listen to NMA.

Let me tell you, every song that was broadcast that night i wished so badly that i was there.

Never missed a tour since then and always in the pit, long may it continue!

I would also be interested in hearing about NMA playing a big 10,000 arena date... would have been a year after my first NMA gig and roundabout the same time they played second on the bill to The Mission at Finsbury Park to about 15,000 folks...

Are you talking about when NMA played as part of a BRITS gig? Cos that was at Wembley Arena and must have been about 91 ! If you are - I was there

I think they were one and the same gig - pretty sure NMA only ever played at Wembley once - which was part of a Radio 1 thing. I think the next time they were live on Radio1 was at the slightly less grand Sheffield Hallam Uni  NMB in 1993 for Sound City

Aye, the 'Great British Music Weekend' was indeed a BRITs tye in. They performed as part of the 'Indie' night. Still have a cassette of it that I taped on the night off the radio. It was put together by Jonathan King...the less said about him the better...
