Hi Witch

You're not quite as old school as me though! I've never owned a mobile!! Hope you get it sorted. Frohilche Weinachten!

Hi Witch,
From experience of getting other ringtones (not from the shop), when you purchased the ringtone, did it ask for the phone number to send it to?
If not then it might have been emailed to you, in which case, use download it from your email address to your computer, then connect your phone to your PC by USB and take it from your PC to your phone.
When it's in your phone, set it as your ringtone.

Hope that helps & that I've got it right.

Happy Christmas

I'll correct myself slightly here....
As it's a smart phone you'll be able to access your email from it anyway so you wont need to hook it up to your PC.

What kind of smartphone is it?

I have an Iphone so I can tell you how I got mine working.

First downloaded the ringtones to the PC and save them somewhere you will remember.

Next I opened Itunes - then clicked on FILE > ADD TO LIBRARY

then choose the folder where you saved the ringtones. To check that they have been uploaded on the left where the menu is it goes Music, Movies etc - there should be one called Tones.

Next attached your phone to the PC. The phone should appear under devices within ITUNES. Click on it. In the middle there should now be a a picture of the phone - plus a list of options across the top. ....click on tones - there should be a box saying sync all tones. Make sure that is ticked. Sync phone.

Next going into settings - and sounds. You should have the options to choose the song.....I've got Vengeance as mine  ;D now if I could only work out how to put screen shots on here for you....

As you have an android phone, then i can recommend that you get ringdroid from the Market. With this app you can create any type of tone for all your notifications. All you really need is the song/piece of music or soundclip to be on the phone and then you choose the section that you want.
This works on the same principle as audiko.net except you aren`t putting the tones you create on the net(have a search there and see what others have made)

If anybody wants to use the very first sections of "Poison Street" or the bass into to "Vengeance", here's a link to 2 of them that I made:
http://homepage.mac.com/releasefromwithin/Ringtones.zip
This is a direct link so the download will start immediately.

I know they work perfectly on an iPhone.
The format is .m4r.
