Oxford Or Norwich?
« on: January 20, 2014, 08:46:31 PM »
Hey,

It's either Oxford or Norwich if I get to one on this bit of tour. I've not been to either venue before so can anyone offer any pro's or con's? At the moment Oxford shades it on mileage grounds.
Cheers  :-*

I'd say Norwich is the better venue, but either will be proper fun I'm sure  :)

Oxford is a lot easier to get to/from, which is why it'll be my choice...

Norwich. A great independent venue.
Oxford. An Academy.

We're going to both but if I could only go to one I'd go to the one in Norfolk!

Oxford it is then. Needed cheering up tonight so pulled me finger out me bum, made a decision and booked a ticket  ;D

Ticketweb is a bit of a sting tho' - how come they charge you £2.50 for posting a ticket but if you print you own it still costs £2.50?

Posting charges are an f-ing rip off. I remember, a few years back, buying four tickets for a gig and wanting them posted, they charged me £2.50 per ticket in postal costs...

'So, that'll be recorded delivery, I take it...' I asked.

'No, just standard post delivery'... was the response.

So a second class stamp costs, what, 40p or something, yet the sheer effort of stuffing four tickets into an envelope is worth a tenner in administration costs?

Jeez, I'd love to work there and have a percentage of that action...
