@nkdublu

That's cool. Maybe we can meet up then and go together since I am travelling all alone from Germany. :)
And yeah, I'm also super excited and super happy... not even sure if I will be able to work tomorrow. I will probably just run around and tell everyone.  :D

Happy New Year and am just reading this about the April Gigs sounds a fab idea and could any one tell me how many tickets were there on sale ??

I missed out on the weekend tickets any way I will try and find a way of attending this Event and If NEW MODLE Army want me to do the Security on the Day let me know I would do this for free just to be a part of a Unique event .I am a Door Supervisor and work in Live Music Venues for over 30 plus years .

Any way hope to see you all in April  :)

@Crowman - no need fella. They've added an extra date on the Sunday afternoon if you're quick it looks like there's about 500 tickets left for that at the moment. Good luck.

I can't believe i was too late..again. I only got a ticket to friday night, it was a way too fast sell out. But i'm seeing it as: I'VE GOT A TICKET!! Yeah!!
So flight an hotel is booked and i'm so looking forward to this event.

I thought about it a little and had some ideas.
It came to my mind, that singing while seated is not that easy. I would prefer to stand while singing. And i can't imaging staying on a seat while the energy of some songs gets you on the feet. That's another point. A little space where you can move and kinda dance while singing would be nice? A least to have room to shake your upper body to the tunes. Like at a normal concert.
It would be interesting to try out some things, experiment with all the voices. To divide the room into different sections with different singing parts, like a choir. Or to have some group just humming. Then we could do Horseman or like the "uhu hu hu" in march in september.

Another idea for the filmcrew. They could have a little booth and in there everybody can sing the same song into the camera and then you can cut evrybody with just one word after another to have the full song sung by hundred people...
I know, too much thoughts, just playing with ideas  8)

BTW, do they allow to drink a beer in a church? Or is this kind of a just spiritual, sober event...what do you think?
Would be terrible if some people would be drunk and destroy atmosphere with shouting or just loud talking while calm parts.

Was occupying my brain at work thinking about the "mechanics" of this the other day and I was wondering about the sitting down bit too: nobody sings sitting down at the footie, church or AmDram do they? I'd imagine the moving thing would happen quite naturally if we're stood up no?

That filming idea sounds a good giggle  :)

I think in the facebook interview thing there was an answer regarding a bar being brought into the venue - certainly a while back at the Hebden Bridge church event there was indeed a bar  :)

I agree that sitting down is not a natural way to sing. I don't think it will be the case. We are not there to see the band per se but to gather to sing together. The band are effectively there to enable, encourage and guide. We may not even hear them at times. We are the main event and there to entertain ourselves and the band.

I believe the rehearsals in Bradford with the volunteers was due to go ahead yesterday. Wonder how that went.
