Art imitating life?.. or Life imitating Art?
« on: January 13, 2019, 05:35:44 PM »
I just found this and found it kind of totally...unreal!? Surreal? and kind of funny...

An episode of the 1950s western TV series 'Trackdown' featured a snake oil salesman named 'Trump' who promised to build a wall in order to prevent the end of the world.

The television series Trackdown really did produce an episode featuring a “Trump” character who came to town claiming that only he could prevent the end of the world by building a wall (and also sold special force propelling umbrellas to deflect meteorites). The episode (S1, E30) aired on CBS in 1958 and was titled “The End of the World,” featuring actor Lawrence Dobkin playing the role of “Walter Trump.”

So what happened there? Is life imitating Art. Did the tv-people know more than they said, did God plant a funny Joke and is now laughing?

What do you think..;-)

And do you maybe know about other coincidences like this?

Well, what do you say about that? Thanks for the link, this is fascinating stuff.
I knew about the "Lone Gunman" episodes, predicting 9/11 and some of the others are also creepy. But for some you could argument, that it's not difficult if you have to think about a terrorist plot in a tv series, that you pick a scenario which real terrorist would also pick (spooks and 7/7).
