Gavle Goat 2024...

This used to be a big part of Christmas back when things were lively with old friends posting every day.  I can't remember who posted it every year.  Or even quite what it was about, some statue that got burned down every year?  But we all put in a random date and someone won it and it was a fun thing.  Anyone got any better memories of what this thing was all about?

Whatever, my random date is 21st December.

Just trying to bring some old fun stuff from 'back in the day'.

Well, every year I've noted that world isn't exactly getting better while that damn goat goes unharmed once again and that Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to try some old pagan methods like, sarcifices....

The Youtube link to the 24 hour 'goatcam' was down for a bit the other night and I automatically assumed I'd have to post 'EMERGENCY CODE RED! THE GOAT IS DOWN!  REPEAT, THE GOAT IS DOWN!'... but no, the handsome straw chappie is still standing...
