Happy 45th anniversary
« on: October 23, 2025, 02:07:06 PM »
Hello everybody,
I haven't been around here much for some time.
Anyway, when I had a look at the calendar earlier today, I thought, "Isn't this NMA's official "birthday?". And then I realized it's even half a decadal one. Gosh, and it's been 20 years already since my (last) trip to Paris for the 25th anniversary gig. Mind you, my car broke down after I ran a goose over on the motorway - the radiator was knackered. A friend had to pick me up to take me to Paris and I had to get my car on the following day. Happy (?) memories.
Anyway, happy birthday NMA!
Kabi

Happy Birthday NMA indeed!

And why not post more often, things are pretty much dead around these parts these days!   :-[
... but at what point does it stop being CPR and start being like trying to reanimate a corpse?

Here's to the next 45 years!!!
The longer this century goes on, the more I feel I belong in the last one.

Happy birthday to the band!

Next year will be Justin's 70th birthday and "The ghost of Cain"'s 40th birthday!  :D :D

Even at the tender age of 54, those numbers make me feel old, Guillaume!!

Same! I'll be 47 in just two months, so close to fifty! I can't believe I'm almost half a century old, ha ha! How time flies, it's crazy!
I've been listening to NMA for 30 years, since 1995, the year the band played the late Rock festival in my little town in Normandie!

47?  Oh, you sweet summer child, I'll be 56 in two months time!  I remember when I was 47, a wide eyed kid with a headful of dreams, a skip in my step and my whole life in front of me...  ;)  ;D  ;D

Seriously... WHERE does the f-ing time go?   :-[

Yes, but at (almost) 47 years old, I bitterly regret when I was 25 and even 30 ha ha! But no doubt when I'm 56 (or 70 like Justin S in 2026!) I'll perhaps regret not being 47 anymore ha ha! As we say in France: "La vieillesse est un naufrage" ("Old age is a shipwreck")!

I'm wondering what happened to the five years since the 40th anniversary livestream? Then I remember being at the 20th anniversary gig at Rock City and wonder where the last 25 years went, or think of Trip & Stumble playing down MacRorys and clattering down cobbled Bradford  back streets in hobnailed clogs and start feeling really old... (55 next year, before you ask!)
