I'm on a bit of a Grunge trip at the moment (damn, is that whole scene about 30 years old now?)

The Big Four of that scene were always Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Alice In Chains (imho) which is a bit odd seeing as they don't sound really like each other! My fave of them all was Soundgarden, such a great band, but the one that always passed me by somewhat was Alice In Chains. Been listening to some of their stuff and, dammit, what a great band. Can't believe I didn't really get into them 'back in the day'.
And it occurred to me, the other day, how sad it is that so many grunge-related folks have died since. Eddie Vedder is the only lead singer of the previously mentioned 'Big Four' who is still alive.

Anyone else got any fond memories of the grunge scene?
