Upcoming trip to Manc makes me REALLY happy. My wife + couple of really nice friends with us; all being Army fans.

And at least, I finally get some long waited pause of my usual doings at home although I can enjoy them at times too. No woodworks this time, not messing with pumps and tools and felling these giant trees when alongside banging my head at a daytime job with nutty "friends".

It's gonna be my fourth time in UK and probably ninth NMA gig I'll see if I count also acoustic JS+DW shows.

I don't know why but there's something in that certain group of islands in the middle of Atlantic ocean that I love.

Cheers.

Thanks Pol. Maybe some time we'll do Notts too but this fit better in our plans this time.

Actually I realised it's their tenth gig now I'll see.

I'm happy now that I did finish the emergency exit ladders. It's wood. Installed it outside of a window in second floor.

Very cool on both counts!  :) Got my Cure tickets for Cologne last week, very excited about seeing them again.

Tonight my and my best friend are headed for Tilburg to see Black Star Riders again - I'm a bit tired at the moment but I know it will be fine tonight.

We arrived to home couple of hours ago. I've heated a fireplace, opened a server, boiling tank and water systems, and unpacked our bags just a little bit. Mainly watching all the new albums and cd's fascinatedly.

The 4 days trip in UK was so excellent and fun. Lots of good memories. Tomorrow I have a holiday yet. I'll think I have enough time to fix the balcony fence that should be ready on Friday.

Cheers, I hope all the best to you and wish a great gig at Notts.

The kindness of my work colleagues in both the infant and junior schools.

One of my very close work mates came round after school yesterday to check up on me and brought 3 huge boxes of Christmas goodies that the staff had all chipped in.
Normal everyday things like pasta, tea and coffee, soup, beans. Christmas goodies, puds, mince pies, pantone peanuts, massive tin of quality street and gifts of candles, smelly gift boxes, books and a cd. Absolutely loads of things, more than I could afford to buy.

I burst into tears when the 1st box came in and was in a right state by the 3rd. Once Michaela (my friend) had gone I got all upset again looking at all the things and trying to imagine how much it all cost and the though and kindness that had gone into it. There was a big gammon joint in there that was way over my budget on it's own !  The boxes where all decorated too.

And I always thought most of the staff didn't like me because I'm not a Christian and am a bit outspoken on the subject.
Just goes to show doesn't it.

Thank you baby Jesus and all your friends.

Aw, them 'people' things... they can be awful, we are all reminded of that on a daily basis, but they can be pretty damn awesome as well, can't they?
