The feeling I got from the english immersion program in Poland. It made me meet and get to know so many wonderful people. I learned just how great the Polish people really are. I heard many stories.
I am happy to say that every one of the polish speakers english have improved immensely. One woman only learned english a year ago and was in tears at the beginning of the program for being overwhelmed. She now can put together entire sentences. It's amazing. I made some kind of impact. These people went from dodging coaxing words like "and", "or" "But" etc to speaking complete sentences.
I have also gotten over my shyness a lot. I also find out just how patient I can be. I have some wonderful new friends because of this. If anyone gets a chance to do one of these do it!
I still can't pronounce polish words worth crap though.
