I've recently been constructing a sauna bench that looks quite handy. I've used both wood and some little, white plastic parts within it. I think in general it's nice to mix wood with some other subject such as plexiglas or metal.

... alright, I was having physio on my back... but at my age, you take what you can get, eh?   ::)

And the 'makes me happy' thing is that the problem that I was so worried about seems to be very minor and very fixable.  I did the stupid thing of getting on the internet and researching my symptoms... I was pretty much ready to see how much wheelchairs cost.  Looks like it'll all be fine.   :D
