Didn't do Blackballed in Newcastle as I met my daughter in Leeds instead

Also didn't do Wonder Stuff and Neds in Leicester as I had been busy doing some work on the VW camper and totally fogot about the gig until I'd had 2 beers and realsied it was 8pm and I'm about 90 mins from Leicester so wouldn't have made it as doors opened at 7pm (£37 down the pan!!)

I will NOT forget to go tomorrow night in Leeds

By the FD were brilliant at the 100 club and one of the support acts, Nick Parker was also great

Didn't think much of the other support Sean McGowan but each to their own

Not sure if I or we can be there  :(
But the good news is:
Risha - DEE with Hacke (cd out here 22.6.)  :D
And me, I`ve got a black place in my heart
Still got this hole in me

Try. DEE's shows have become rare these days, especially the ones in small venues like Zoom...

Not 'just back home from', but last night I was at Machine Head, Nottingham Rock City... three hours of blistering metal in a sold-out venue hotter than the Devil's nutsack.  Many of you know how Rockers can get hot in the middle of December at the sold-out Winter Gatherings... imagine how hot it can get when it's already hot outside!   :-[

(gotta say, though, although I could see it was getting a bit hectic at the front, it wasn't nearly as hectic as a proper NMA moshpit...  ;))

Possibly the best Monday night out I've had... here's a clip that I didn't record, just nicked off of Youtube...

I had their first album, which I really liked half the tracks on. But the whole album didnt grab me. Just listened to some latet stuff on yowtube. A lot cleaner sounding and more melodic. Not bad at all.
Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

If I were to recommend you a couple of more recent albums, I'd go with the new one, 'Catharsis' (rather diversive amongst the fan base thanks to its somewhat diversive and, yes, more melodic sounds) and 'The Blackening' from 2010.  Just sayin...
