Just got this reply........... Who knows wether it'll do any good, but at least it's made the point.......

Dear Mr Stone
Reference CAS-2351543-WWKH0K
Thanks for your contact regarding ‘Later...with Jools Holland’.
I was pleased to read you have watched the programme for many years, however, I understand you have concerns that New Model Army haven’t featured on the programme.
Whilst we appreciate you are a fan and would like to see New Model Army, the production team book acts to create with a journalistic, contemporary mix to the show.
They are always going to disappoint people as there is a limited amount of time on the show. This doesn't mean New Model Army won't feature on the show in the future though.
I can assure you that your comments have been registered on our audience log, which is made available to all members of the BBC, including the programme production team and senior BBC management.
This ensures your comments and others we receive are considered across the BBC.
Thanks again for taking the time to contact us.
Kind Regards
Nicola Maguire

Does anyone suspect that Nicola Mcguire doesn't actually read these emails?

It doesn't bother me that much.  There are plenty of 'cult' (yet brilliant) bands that will never see airtime on the BBC again, much as they might deserve it.

**** it, as long as they keep playing and people keep showing up... it's all good.

Just to add my 10p worth Radio 6 Music sometimes play NMA. Not often but just occasionally the spirits get lifted.

Don't think it matters that they're fairly generic replies. Fair play to anyone who drew a reply out of the BBC.

Good on ya'  :-*
