Hell, it's another Christmas Day all on my tod, like last year... sod it, I watch what I want to watch, got a couple of books I wanna get stuck into, gonna cook up some food and drain a bottle of Jack Daniels, with a nice snooze in the afternoon... nice.

Diverging, slightly, an article in the Guardian has alerted me to the fact that GHOSTBUSTERS was released, in the UK, THIRTY ******* YEARS AGO!   

Thirty years?  I saw it at the pictures in Northwich and also bought the soundtrack album!

OK, not watching it right now, but after a ******* amazing NMA gig and a stay in a hotel around the corner (and a long sleep) me and my mate checked out the new HOBBIT movie before heading home...

Enjoyable but a bit exhausting.  A decent end to the trilogy but damn, it's two and a half hours of near endless CGI battle scenes, very little respite from the constant spectacle, almost no story, just BANG SPLAT SLICE SWORDY EXPLODY-STUFF until your head aches a bit.  And I didn't even see it in ******* 3D, which I hate... 

Not a bad movie but far from the best Middle-Earth movie...
