It was a new program on channel 4 where two sets of people who had never met where matched up by so called experts and it follows them to see what happens
Who knows maybe I'm wrong just found it all a bit strange but what does a divorcee like me know

Fortunately discomfort is nog part of the punishment here in the netherlands. there are many people , especially pvv voters ,who have never seen a prison from the inside, let alone have been imprisoned who think iT,s a holiday resort. It's not.

'The Death Of Superman Lives... What Happened'

Excellent documentary about a potential massive budget Superman movie that was put into millions of $$$ of development, then fell apart in the late 90's despite some of the biggest players in the industry roundabout then... it's one for the geeks.

so many people are trapped not knowing how to start a relationship. ill prepared for life let alone love

so many people are forced to demonstrate that they love and are devoted to the person their family decided they should marry. mostly because of religion and money. you can't love someone you don't love just because you are told you must.

i'm not sure its so bad that people take a chance on a show like that. they all seem to want to be there.

I'm watching various sketches from 'Not The 9 'o Clock News' on Youtube....

This is one of my very favourite sketches ever, so un-PC and so 70's it hurts...

'Zombie FLASH Eaters'?

I agree, saw that on VHS when I was about 12 with a bunch of schoolfriends.  Freaked me right the **** out, first proper gory movie I ever saw. The splinter of wood / eye bit?  Looks fake as **** nowadays but back then...  :o

I prefer these cheesy ridiculous 80's 'video nasties' to most of the crap horror flicks around nowadays...

After I posted that, my 18 year old came in from his friends and watched the rest of the film with me. We were both laughing at the clearly rubber flesh rips and eyes popping. Modern audiences are not so easily fooled

i like some german films

the lives of others is one. colin introduced me to it. it is the perfect example of human nature being overruled by politics and fascism

and the one about the german gang - bader mienhoff - or something like that

that snowpiercer sounds too risky. some recs elsewhere but would rather someone here screened it for me.

i've been watching a knights tale. one of the bestest ever films ever.

no joke. one of the best ever. classic. bowie golden years moment is so special. such a waste of life and talent. the world lost something the day heath died.

batman will never be the same.

sad now

The Bader-Meinhoff movie is well worth a watch.

Snowpiercer is also an unusual but very worthwhile flick.

Mr Ledger?  A tragic loss but c'mon, he was just a villain in the second of a trilogy, albeit an amazing one.

Batman is over?  C'mon, I know we're stuck with Ben Affleck, but this trailer for Batman Vs Superman does look pretty good...

TV today -British crime movies
Vera (now)
Inspector Barnaby (best to fall asleep)
Silent Witness (too late ...)

German movies:
None here ever watching
Fassbinder (perhaps with Hanna Schygulla - Die Ehe der Maria Braun)
or
Herzog/Klaus Kinski?
Can`t believe that  ;)
And me, I`ve got a black place in my heart
Still got this hole in me
Perhaps - I am the master of nothing?
