Victor Frankenstein... yet another retelling of the old story, but a surprisingly decent one, told from the perspective of Igor, Dr Frankensteins assistant.   Came out in cinemas towards the end of last year.  I rather enjoyed it, trailer here...

Outsiders - Very watchable, a bit Sons Of Anarchy (not just because Opie is in it),  in a way a bit Mad Max-ish, a bit of weird supernatural stuff going on, worth watching and will be interesting to see where it goes. Am developing a bit of a thing for Hasil .............  :-*

Justified - 4 or 5 episodes in and this could be a good one too. Got that there fella from Deadwood in it (Timothy Olyphant or at least it's nearly that - can't help thinking about Sam from LOTR there though   ;)) Really enjoying this series and hope that enjoyment is justified  :D

I don't watch TV anymore these days. I and my wife actually quit watching it in 2007 when there was a media tax that was brought and you had to change the analog system to a new one. Well, we can watch it from the net whenever we want to. You can read the news there, read smart phone news, listen radio etc. etc.

However, I used to be a sort of movie buff in 90's as I was working in a firm that copied DVD's, imported Egmont and Sandrew Metronome films and sold them forward to markets. I also like wildlife documentaries, other documentaries and odd film now and then if I have a holiday or something.

Well, I recently remembered a certain scifi film called Doppelgänger by Robert Parrish (circa 1969) where an astronaut sees everything in reversed way in conclusion. I'd like to see the film now again. Would like to find out were there any other strange things during the film that you probably couldn't find weird unless thought it further. Anyone other seen the Doppelgänger? There's also an other name for it, called: A Journey To The Far Side of The Sun?

A Doctor Who episode called Midnight with David Tennant. Great episode.
Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

I think I saw that film many, many years ago, I have no clear memories of it other than the ending where some guy in a wheelchair was touching a mirror and the whole thing might have been a dream... or something?  I might have gotten this mixed up with an episode of Space 1999 that had a similar plot... Captain Koenig went to, yes, a doppelganger of Moonbase Alpha and his double returned to the real world, only for the double to be caught out because his hair was parted the wrong way?

Just watched a cracker of a film on Netflix, 'He Never Died'.  Starring Henry Rollins, one of my heroes and it's certainly the best part he ever played.  I'd post a trailer, but the ones I found gave away half the bloody plot!  You're best going in cold to this one.  Suffice to say, it's a supernaturally-tinged (and often dryly funny) thriller with plenty of violence.  Give it a go, I suspect many of my Forum friends will like it!

Not so much 'Scrap Heap Challenge' fan (although I do remember that show, now you mention it) as a fan of his books and music... possibly the only man on the planet more intense than Justin...  ;D

Please, Roj is far too fine a gentleman to say what he truly means...

Has anyone checked out this new and acclaimed show called 'Vinyl'?  Sounds like just my cup of tea...
