I was a bit disappointed by the fourth and final season, but the very last episode was excellent and somehow managed to tie up ALL the loose ends!

Death Sentence.  Rather good revenge thriller from a few years back, low on logic or originality but high on thrills and drama.  And, hey, who doesn't love Kevin Bacon?  Trailer here...

Season 2 Episode 5 on banshee

MotoGp Sachsenring Germany - A wet weather start with all the riders struggling in the conditions, as the track dried out their tyres started to go off . Marc Marquez took the gamble and came in first to change his bike and go on to slick tyres leading to a very brave victory on the 93 Repsol Honda with Brit Cal cruchlow in 2nd on a LCR Honda . Marquez now leads the championship by 48 points going into the summer break with 9 races still to go

Also, I'm gonna get a bit pernicky now, but Justin, at some point, mentioned that Rob Heaton looked like 'Captain America'... do you suppose he meant 'Thor'...?

'Stranger Things', a new show on Netflix.  Two episodes in and loving it.  Very 80's influenced and Spielberg-y.  Well worth a look.  Trailer here.  Worth a punt, IMO.

The new robot wars , used to love watching this with the kids back in the day. Bring back Philippa Forrester  !

New Robot Wars format is quite good. My eldest was mad for it in the 90's, went to watch a filming and be in show audience, has all the models, for his birthday one year I made him a scale copy of the arena for him to play the models on. Spent more time painting all the zones than making the frame. Remember the first series ? Jeremy Clarkson the presenter, more an obstacle coarse for the robots as opposed to a smash up.

Loved it last night.
Shouted "ACTIVATE!" at every count down much to my 22 year olds dismay.
Him and his brother had all the little models and an arena and even mock ups of some of the trophy's so you could award each other prizes when you battled.
Only got rid of that stuff last year, beginning to wish I kept it now.

Saw a lot of the robots when they did the road show thingy in Swindon.

Mona Lisa, one of the best UK films of the 80's.  Haven't watched it in donkeys. Bob Hoskins, Michael Caine, Cathy Tyson, all delivering career best performances.  Such a good film.  There's a really good rip of the whole film on Youtube, so check it out if you've never seen it...
