Just finished watching 'Supersonic', the recently cinema-released documentary about the first two Oasis albums.  I know a lot of folks hate this band, but I loved them 'back in the day' before it all turned to ratshit and this is a great documentary / nostalgia-fest that's also a reminder of how funny the Gallagher brothers could be.  Maine Road was one of the best gigs I ever saw.  Worth a look anyway, trailer here...

It does look like a good documentary. Never really liked them all that much but their status as one of the great rock bands is undeniable. Their interviews have always been entertaining.

Just watched 'Arrival'. Really liked it. The anti-Independence Day in many ways.

Checked out Doctor Strange at the cinema today, pretty good, a lot more ambitious and imaginative than most of the superhero movies these days, although it ripped off Inception for a few scenes, impressive though they were.  Great cast and some funny moments.  And they managed to keep it under two hours in length, which so many bloated blockbusters fail to do nowadays, so big thumbs up for that.  Trailer here, I'd give it a go if it looks like your kind of thing...

Film, Neds. Excellent Film 4 drama about teenage gang violence in 70's Glasgow, but genuinely struggling to understand the broad accents, keep turning it up. Might have to press the subtitles button

Louis Theroux's 'My Scientology Movie'.  Enjoyed it, but it didn't exactly tell us anything new about this godawful cult.  Worth a look all the same, trailer here...
