just a few days ago watched the 'Silence" by Martin Scorsese.Story of catholic priests sailing to Japan as missioners to teach the christianity and catholic way.Including very violent scenes but good cinematography.Worth to watch. One of the reasons why japan is like that way even today and an island culture they never let it disturbed by others coming across the island from faraway lands. You could see a lot of suffering and pain and priest questioning god, himself and religion and why christ is so silence despite all these torment and pain.
If the japanese landlords and local monarchy would have let them to teach, today's japan might have never been exist. You can take the story anyway you like.Liam Neeson acts fine but appears in a short time.It is a very violent movie,I won't make an artistic criticism but it is a true story and although I hate the violence in movies and in real life, all these things have happened I believe.
