Just watched this on youtube. Always heard about this bit, but didn't really know how brilliant it was until I actually saw it.

It's only a minute twenty seconds long. Click on the youtube link and give it a watch. Only British comedy can take some little thing about a broom and turn it into one of the best comedy bits ever. Don't know who any of the actors are, don't know what show it is...I just know it's pretty damn great.

Just watched the final episode of The Ripper Files,excellent as you would expect from BBC4.I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but what a lash up the Police made of the investigation.And thank God peoples attitudes towards women have changed since then......well most peoples..

I was just about the post the same thing!  Excellent documentary.  And, yes, what a terrible mess the cops made of this one.  It's easy to put down the Police for getting things wrong but (as regards to the hoax thing) such an idiotic and catastrophic mistake that directly led to a few more women getting murdered...   

Well worth a watch.

And, yes, the awesome 'Line Of Duty' is back for a fifth series, just watched the first episode and I see no reason to revise my opinion of this superb show, cracker of a first episode... trailer below...

NO SPOILERS, but to be honest, I figured out the big end twist quite early on (not because I'm terribly clever but because this show has so many twists in it that I'm always looking for them!  )

THE THING is one of the greatest films ever made (and that's another understatement).

Don't know if it was me,but i found Mr.Partridges last show a bit tame.I shall watch it again to make sure...still,5 gems out of 6 is fine by me. A truly brilliant series,hope another one is on the cards..

Just curious, are you Euros aware of the 2019 HBO film called BREXIT starring Benedict Cumberbatch? I watched it, thought it was pretty good, but I am really unaware of how accurate it is.

Glad it's not just me that thought that!  I think it's the lack of Jennie in it... Susannah Fielding was brilliant in it, each episode she was in was worth watching a second time and focusing on her reactions to what Alan said, a masterpiece of subtle acting...

I hope there's another series, but after the off-camera dialogue during the end credits, I suspect Alan is going to get sacked from the BBC again...

Agree on both points,it did'nt sound too promising for Alan at the end.........but hey you never know .
