Eurovision Song Contest- The story of Fire Saga. Id read a stuffy critics review on the BBC and nearly didnt watch it. Its not a laugh out loud movie, and possibly a tad too long with some scenes that were not needee. But its an ok film. Id happily watch it again.
Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

When the wind blows - old comic, but nothing to laugh (atomic bomb)
corona is nothing to laugh about, too ...
And me, I`ve got a black place in my heart
Still got this hole in me
Perhaps - I am the master of nothing?

Ah, When The Wind Blows... now, I've seen every big horror movie ever and NONE of them freaked me out as much as this film, to the extent that I saw it once in the 80's or 90's and it upset me so much that I've never had the courage to watch it again.  Probably because the main characters reminded me of my beloved maternal grandparents, they'd have reacted just like this to the horrible scenario.  Maybe I should give it another go?

Brilliant soundtrack as well, I had the OST album, and the title track is one of Bowie's best songs of the 80's (funny how most of his best 80's tunes were from films... Absolute Beginners, When The World Falls Down, Cat People, This Is Not America, Underground...)  so here's When The Wind Blows for anyone whose never heard it...

I was in my early Primary School Days, maybe 7 0r 8, when 'When The Wind Blows' was released. I will always remember my form class and another being sat down to watch it. Scared the absolute shite out of me at the time. Having watched it back since it is a truly amazing and scary piece of animation. Not quite The Snowman eh?

Just rewatched 'Damien - Omen 2' for the first time in a very long while.  My favourite of the trilogy, I was about 12 or 13 when I first saw it, a frequently bullied and bespectacled scrawny kid and DAMN I so wanted to be the Antichrist!   ;D  I mean, someone picks on you, you give them a dirty look and shortly afterwards they meet with a horrible accident!

Yes, I was a strange kid.   ;)

In Germany called „Wenn der Wind weht”, I was the same age watching it on TV in my grandfathers House, time of cold war and a real menace at this time.
But now actual again I think …
