Im not  reading anything in long time.I have a goddamn smartphone and I am like addicted to facebook and all internet news etc.I'm asking people what they read and tell me what's in the books. My wife's father is 68 and he is spending his all day at book stores and always bringing books to us for read but I am just starring at them.My mother and sister are both writers. One writes script and stories for tv and mum writes politics criticism for a local paper  but I dont even look at what they wrote.Very bad situation.I only search a lot of classical history on web.But sadly it is not like reading a real book. :(

It depends so much on the different generations what they were used to do, don't they? I'd say you should not feel bad for it. At least you recognise the situation and get news and information from a different source. Maybe you're thinking you should know your family or generic better and feel upset due that you don't know what they're writing about. It's not you that is to blame, you decide what medias you want to use.  :)

I'm reading Trapped In A Scene by Ian Glasper. Anyone read his books?
Tonight, as you stare at the ceiling again
With your lover turning away
Disappointment closing in
Like the walls... and you try...
You try to talk about love
And they put their arms around you
But you still feel all alone
Wonder why...

I'm reading doc sleep_by Stephen king it's the follow up to the shinning, where the boy, Danny grows up. I've read it once before a few years ago when it was first released, but I've found getting older  my memory is shite , ; with books this can be great if you love a book you read a couple of years later you can read again ,and it's like your reading it for the first time  ;D
someone cried out subvert and the  people all went  cold.

I'm reading the Dark Forest by Cixin Liu - or at least a translation of it. Quite enjoyable but perhaps not quite what I thought it would be

Bryan Cranston's (aka Walter White) autobiography, 'My Life In Parts'... yeah, I know that actor autobiographies are two-a-penny, but this one's really well written and funny...

Currently reading an excellent fantasy book which is great fun and as loads of music, band references in it. It called Kings Of The Wyld. There are some excellent reviews on Goodreads which are far better than I could give it.  https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/30841984-kings-of-the-wyld?from_search=true

What Does That Button Do? - Bruce Dickinson's autobiography. Fun read so far. Not got as far as him joining Samson yet.

Can't wait to read Mr Dickinsons book.  I think Santa is bringing it.  I'm usually a good boy, right?

I'm finding it very enjoyable to read. His schooldays were "interesting" to say the least ! I'm about a third of the way through it now - post Number of the Beast and pre Piece of Mind  :)

Perhaps I start this weekend with 1000g or two heavy books about Da Vinci - 2 books DIN A 4, 900 pages with information and prints of his paintings and drawings
And me, I`ve got a black place in my heart
Still got this hole in me
Perhaps - I am the master of nothing?

I am an extremely well read fellow. I've read all the classics of literature and have sampled works from best selling authors. However, I have never read an Agatha Christie book.

I am taking care of that right now and reading "Murder On The Orient Express." I like her puzzles that are in there, but the book is too thin. A novel like this one screams for descriptive passages. The train, the landscape, the characters...Ms. Christie gives nothing on them. The readers are left to flesh out that stuff for themselves. Still a good read and fun book.

Moby - Porcelain.  A great book, funny, candid and well written, but one of those annoying autobiography's that ends just as the person in question is about to get famous... I mean, c'mon, we want the stuff that happened in 'the famous years', not what you did when you were a kid...  ::)

Just finished "In The Heart Of The Sea" by Nathaniel Philbrick"which tells the true story of the whaling ship "Essex" which was sunk by a whale(and Justin sung about at his solo gigs)Made a point of reading the book before seeing the film.It was the inspiration for the book Moby Dick.
