Here you can listen to (and download for free) a coverversion of "My Country" recorded by Turkish Industrial Metal project KARA CEPHE which I like.

I like it!

Oh dear oh dear oh dear...

Now a good cover of an NMA song was Sepultura's The Hunt...

Agreed, simply because I had a whole load of metal friends back in the day and this pointed them in the general direction of NMA...

I hate it. But at least it is a new interpretation of the song rather than just a second rate copy. So fair play for trying.

I should also add that this is one of my favourite NMA tracks of all time so it was never going to please me...

may be  in terms of "industrial metal" this is a well crafted song

in terms of the song "my country",  I absolutely hate it

Amassing how all of the passion and power can be sucked out of such a good song !!!

I could not listen to all of it  ???

I actually liked it. It lacked the passion and I don't care for the genre but it's not bad.

Cool version. Nice to hear something different. ???
Tonight, as you stare at the ceiling again
With your lover turning away
Disappointment closing in
Like the walls... and you try...
You try to talk about love
And they put their arms around you
But you still feel all alone
Wonder why...

I think it's great - as a demo. Needs some polish before I'd buy it.

Doesn't work for me but I don't really like the genre. As far as a cover version goes, I think they have taken it somewhere new so good on them.

Thinking about the lyrics of My Country and bringing the meanings behind this way to the scene, where so many bands seem nowadays to favor for aesthetics about romanticising vintage nationalism and flirting with ideals - is a very welcomed thing I think. I appreciate that Kara Cephe did the cover version.

On the other hand, when I checked the Kara Cephe's homepage I think they seem to have some similarity with bands like Laibach and Rammstein, which I'm not a fan of. But within industrial genre, there are other kind of industrial music that I'm much more into.
