Yes, you're right. I think the waybackmachine started looking for newmodelarmy.org in '98. Not sure if the url prior to that was different.

But where are Ingo and other old geezers? Welsh-beard's still around. Sequioa225 and Ottodeth writes quite rarely...  ???

I think I saw recently a vid in YouTube which was a about Family. Ingo seemed to be the other of the makers.

Umm...oh, now I think you folks are right about the year 1998 as the birth of the site. In -95 the web was just build and sold along with the windows 95.

About Archive:

For some reason, I can't see anything in the pages Heno posted links about Wayback Machine. But when you survey the archive on your own by browsing first to Internet Archive and then looking for newmodelarmy.org, then it succeeds... Some time ago I tried to find some topics concerning the 30th Anniversary tours from 2009 here by searching the archive. I was actually a bit surprised how soon the topics seem to drown down. But I think it's because of the recent changes here due to the earlier spam problems (the text Viv has writen in upper right corner).

I couldn't see the pictures. When I tried to view images (by right click) there was a text saying "can't open images / not allowed because of the robots" or something. Only thing I saw was a text from the main page about the album coming out in 2000... But I realized it's a long time since I last used the archive and maybe just forgot how to use that. I could go to the page where it's possible to choose a year and months by their activity rate. However, it wasn't possible to open a viewpoint of any of the dates.

Using Firefox. Windows 7 pro.

A Question about the "In-Ger-Land" and what's it meaning? I saw you folks mentioning it there. At times I drop out with yer local meanings.  :o

It's just a phonetic spelling of the way the chant is sung - the word England only has 2 syllables so it's too short to be sung as, say Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton, or many others (Li-Ver-Pool, Ar-Se-Nal, E-Ver-Ton etc.). Therefore people tend to stretch the G to make it fit into the tune (En-G-Land, En-G-Land, En-G-Land etc.)

Ok so there isn't any deeper meaning, like UKIP for In-ger-land or etc?  ;)

Cheers guys,  I was kidding, don't think I expressed that properly, my bad.

I do remember lurking around on an NMA noticeboard for a long-time before I actually joined...
