The way people treated jewish people through-out history. The jewish population in Krakow  was in once 60,000, now it's 1,000 and only 200 in a jewish community. The jewish quarter lacks jewish people and it's heartbreaking. I can not even comprehend how and why the nazis would do such a thing. OK, the tax people have just decided that I underpaid a few hundred quid last year in taxes (not due to anything I ever did, just the numbskulls I was working for at the time) and they'd like it back NOW... this, just as I'm juggling my desperately low finances...

Hmmm, the last time I got a tax rebate was FOUR years after the time in question... they finally decided I was under-paid and they eventually sent me a cheque..?

Some neighbour living 2 km's distance from us faced something really terrible last Friday. Their huge house burned like an arson. Fortunately no one died but their quite brand new house was lost, totally. They have horses there too, large fields and some other buildings. Now they can't even keep the animals there anymore and have to move somewhere else. Feeling sad about it.

2. The only way to get in touch with family
3. They are asylum seekers not economic migrants
4. Being a refugee does not mean you are poor

Never seen the movie but read the book, excellent.  Looks like 'Porno' is finally going to made into a movie with the original cast of Trainspotting (even Mr Mcgregor) with Mr Boyle directing, also remember that as being a damn fine read.

But flies are not worse than spiders, at least they announce their presence with the buzz-y thing, not like dem bloody spiders with their silent creepiness... and I found another one about half an hour ago on my kitchen wall!

Prediction for the near future in my flat... splatter-y.
