The whole bbc pisses me off . Biased news, greedy fat cats , full of repeats and utter crap programmes  . Now they want cash from over 75s . But what grinds my gears the most, if you opt not to watch it they send nasty letters n goons to your door, I don't have a sky or Netflix subscription but they don't do the same. Just how the fk do they get away with it. Oh and on the woman's football it was England v Scotland so what did the bbc do oh right show a documentary about the England team right before the game fkn biased or what.  Rant over.

Pol, you know I'm with you on the whole BBC thing.  The problem is that it's a totally outdated business model that dates from decades ago.  People have choice nowadays! To inflict a tax on people (with harassment and threats of fines / prison) if they don't pay for the licence is just wrong.  Also quite easy to avoid if you read the official BBC website but most people think that if you have a TV you have to have a TV licence...

Just saw  THIS  Brazilian clip of seriously brutal, marriage rejection.  That kid had to have balls of steel, to work up the courage / nerve to ask, let alone in such a public place!  She's comes off as just a heartless ****.  And the crowd and that fcukin' smirking violin player (who deserves a good, hard slap upside the head), my heart just fell apart for the kid.  Kudos to the bearded dude in the shorts, who actually walked over to the kid, to try to console him, after everyone in the room started laughing and clapping at him. 

It's not easy walking up to a girl and asking what he did.  Why women think it's easy, is fckun' mind boggling!  If she was human, she would've smiled, accepted the flowers, and walked away from the gawking public with him, to a more private area and let him down gently.  She's fcukin' scarred that kid for life now.    Some people are just insensitive fcuks and that's it!  If I could, I tell that kid, she wasn't worth it.  Plenty of fish in the sea!  There are more females then men in this world, so he can have the last laugh, if he really wants to, but his demeanor, just tells me he's not that sort of guy.  ugh!  Even her friend couldn't understand her response, intense reaction and tried to mend the situation. 

That 'evil woman'  can  'eat' that kid's 'dust', 'insensitive fcuk' that she is!    Grrr!  Sorry, that one just got under my skin. Some poeple.

To be honest, 8, none of know the backstory behind this clip... we don't know if or why she is 'the bad guy' here... whose to say he wasn't an absolute nutter, cyber-stalking her, sending her unpleasant messages, whatever...

She wasn't laughing in his face, saying something nasty, she just looked kind of embarrassed and exhausted...

If he was a nice and heartfelt guy then I feel for the fella, God knows I've been rejected a time or two, but we don't know enough about this scenario to make a judgement on it...

OK... The Jeremy Kyle Show being cancelled... now bear with me on this one.   

I hate the show in question.  Truly fuckin' hate it.  Non-UK folks, it was basically a Jerry Springer kind of thing, you know, dumb people being exploited as to their weaknesses or potential violence just so a middle-class presenter can be sanctimonious about the whole thing. And, a few weeks ago, some guy committed suicide a few days after being humiliated on this shit-awful show.  I have no problem with this show being cancelled after that incident.

But. TJKS is an early morning show that doesn't bring much money in.  Meanwhile, the same UK network (ITV) has another show, 'Love Island', that shows on prime time TV and brings an awful lot of money in.  TWO people have committed suicide after appearing on this shit-show after that same humiliation.

No concept of Love Island being cancelled because of the £££'s!

And THIS is the point I was trying to make... that same TV network are now recruiting folks who are broke / desperate / stupid, just so they can exploit them in a new early morning show that is 'The Jeremy Kyle Show' in anything but name...

These bastards post messages about awful it is when someone dies... 'oh, we're so sorry, we will learn from this'... but the moment it's out of the headlines, they're back on it.

Perhaps you are pissed off by the Beeb my friend. But all licence fee payers pay for BBC Scotland with viewing figures that currently average 6000 people. Erm, yeah. And also BBC Alba which as you know is for Gaelic speakers of which the number is 57,000 (not viewers, Gaelic speakers in total) or as the latest figures show, just 1.1% of Scots speak. So I don't think you do too badly?  So what did the two channels you can watch, that I cannot, that we both pay for show before the Scotland match?

And thats a very good point. Its is ultimately a cash cow from the Britis public. In theory I could never watch a BBC programme but still have to pay them to watch ITV. Quite agree...... its archaic. I also object to having a political/social agenda force fed me with my own money.....and thats from a left leaner. Its highly time it funded itself.

Well I agree with you there. I hardly watch the Beeb, or indeed lots of TV. Rather watch films or series on Netflix when I get the time from work!

It's actually quite easy to avoid the BBC licence fee... just disconnect your aerial and avoid watching BBC Player.  You can still watch all the other stuff (Netflix and the like)

It's an absolute nonsense that you have to have a TV licence if you own a TV...

I'm getting so sick and tired of the Champions of Stupid appearing to win all the time - it's like we're living in an age of unreason that keeps getting darker.

Consequently, whenever I'm not doing it for work, there's no TV, no news, no politics, no anything serious. I'd go bananas if I couldn't pop on music, walk the dogs in the fields, or switch on the PS4.
