Nice one  :)
Hala (from the Anglo-Saxon word "halh", meaning nook or remote valley), until it was gifted by King Henry II to Welsh Prince David Owen and became known as Halas Owen

It's good to see that Micheal is well enough to work again and that new music may be on it's way! Dean is quite the photographer too.  :)

One minor observation, on pic number three, in the corner, a nicely crafted corner shelf, someone liked it enough to build the pipework around it, -- would look nice with a vase, many some Roses or Carnations, always makes for a nicer work environment  :)

Beyond that, its great to see Michael doing what he does best. Would ask where Dean is, but I suppose someone has to take the pix  :D

Great photos! Thanks for sharing them, Viv'.

Technical query for drummer/muso experts: What does the little drum in the bass drum with another drum behind it do - does it give echo or something?

Yea, something like that. I'd guess that the red one going through the drum skin is for directing the air and resonance to another drum (floor tom) which is laying.

It's interesting to make those experiments. Like when you tone the latter floor tom to upper chord which fits well with the bass drum's own chord. It's like creating an acoustic mirror where the sound gets an impulse from another sound, depending on the intensity of the hit or 'punch'. Don't know what MD:s intent there where but I'd assume that the floor tom might give a hint of "metal/steel" sound or echo there.

The red "drum" is a sub kick mic - the other drum is to add resonance...

You know what, I had the same thought about the shelves: wouldn't it be nice to put some ornamental thingie in there? Ah, and the geezer on the far right seems to be a dreadlocked Mr. Dean White, methinks!

I like the look of those monitors!

Imagine if one could match the gear used on the NMA studio at one's home - the listening experience would be quite interesting, if not exactly the same (because of the downgrade to 16 bit)
