Oh, bloody hell, Bilston Robin 2 was just over a year ago?

The immense and sudden passing of time is truly the scariest thing about getting old...   :-[

It's taken me over 4 hours to fill in an application form online.
Why can't people just adveritse a on on a postcard or just say that you can "pop in for a chat and we'll see how it goes" anymore.
Online applicatons that you have to constantly fanny about with because the format changes everytime you type or change font size/colour/stylee do my nut in.

Grrr.
Whooosshhhh !!!

Aw heck, me Mum turns 70 tomorrow.  I was OK with her being in her 60's, that doesn't seem too old for some reason... but 70?  That's proper old...  :-[

My Mum is 90, has her own home, my sister and I are visiting her one or two times a week, help shopping or cleaning the rooms or help with other things that can`t be done by a phone call - so there might be a job for you for some more years  ;)
Nice to read, that persons 60+ seem to be not too old (too old for ?) ;D
And me, I`ve got a black place in my heart
Still got this hole in me

Now I`ve given the new DEE "Risha" a second time to listen - I like it, but now I can`t remember one of the songs, nothing  :(
First time I`ve heard the song "Winter", parts of the music and words were locked in my brain to be replayed "offline"
My brain and it`s cache for long time or very short memories  - I don`t know how it works, has it`s own rules  :(
And me, I`ve got a black place in my heart
Still got this hole in me
Perhaps - I am the master of nothing?

"..but don't ask me to remember.."

i realy tend to forget the things that i cannot forget (damn, another quote) but i don't really bother. i just forgot the birthday of my sons mother and i know that she will be pissed, but i also don't care about that. i must admit, somehow i feel free. of course it's a personal thing that's going on but i always felled (when you feel you should do it, not "pushed" or forced...you get the verb? to say: happy birthday. so now that's gone. done, done, straight on for the days ahead.

i feel old when i losse to my son playing video games. the young ones are so much faster, i cannot keep up.

Dear Ghosttrain, that's very sad to hear that you're in pain.
I just hope for you that you have enough strenght to bear it and that this will soon go away.
Do you take pain killers? Did you ever think about or heard of the pain taking abilities of medical marijuhana? This could help you.

these are the first sites i found when i googled cannabis and pain:
https://mychronicrelief.com/cannabis-science/cannabinoids/
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/B9780323401968000565

if you're interested you should do your own research.

Hi cthulhu, thanks for your kind words and thoughts. Yes i do take pain killers lots....Codeine, Tramadol and Naproxen, all heavy duty stuff .While these tablets work for most of the time i sometimes get flare ups / inflamation of the joints, this is when i really suffer. And yes i am aware of medicinal cannabis products,in fact i tried some a few years back when visiting friends abroad and yes it works. However here in Jersey the Government are talking about possibly making it available sometime in the future, but as with all these things the wheels move very slowly.I actually discussed it with my Doctor and he said '' I would'nt hold your breath'',he does'nt see it happening anytime soon.Even with countries starting to legalize recreational use of Cannabis that would never happen in Conservative Jersey.Things have changed a bit over here with police attitudes.Back in the seventies our Boys in Blue liked nothing more than to hassle and bust long haired,Pink Floyd listening,Frisbee throwing Beach Bums (including me ).......One day the World will wake up and see the light........ :)

Just read in Vive Le Rock a review about a gig in Brockwell Park on 4 August 1984 featuring The Damned,Spear of Destiny and NMA.(My first NMA gig)I'd never heard of them until then and I was hooked. Then I worked out it was 34 years ago next month. The band(like a fine wine)get better with age.Me, (after sitting down for a breather after NMA's set on sunday)realised I can't watch all the bands at an all day festival on my feet.Old git ;D

With you on that one, Dilla.  Just not up to a full days worth of music these days,  A main act and a support band, fine, maybe three bands if it's an especially good bill.  I suppose the heat didn't help either... went to an all day festival with Madness last year in similar weather, many interesting acts playing, and I didn't show up until about six, just knew the heat would defeat me...

And, Ghosttrain, sorry to hear that your pains are so bad, I knew you had a few problems but I didn't realise it was that bad.  Best of luck with it.   ;)

I can't grow hair and beard related to work issues. After a long time,in my vacation I grew beard and saw that half of my beard turned white. It was strange to see myself like that.
