Now that's one truly rare fucker... love that one.  Who knows, there's isn't a single NMA track that you can honestly say won't be played again...

I guess the name "Amandistan' kills all chances of remaining  mysterious on this forum.  ;)
See you there.

Wish I'd not used my real name either - with only 120 people there it's gonna be a bit difficult to hide  :o

Should be blinding tho'. I reckon Pazza pretty much hit the nail on the head - it's all gonna be good.

I hope we can hear Southwest, Far better Things,Qsar el nil bridge and some rare tracks. I would love to hear all the tracks from the solo album. It said that it lasts from 8-1 the next day. It will be incredible. I have never seen him solo but watched a YouTube video where he very politely told someone to shut up.

I will stand out drastically there due to probably being the only person with an obvious American accent. That's a give away and maybe my youthful appearance and age.

The gig itself will not go on from 20:00 on the 24/ 10 until 01:00 on 25/10.

I'm expecting the JS part of the evening to be about 90 minutes starting around 21:30 but the venue will remain open until 1am.

Who knows what we'll get re. set.
This is such a rare occurrence but one things for sure it will be very different from a Jes and Dean gig.

I have no idea about support yet, but if and when I do I'll post summat on here.

There's no reason why you should stand out , drastically or otherwise. The Boars Head is a fantastic place which has a real mish mash of cliantele, both young and not so young. They even have their share of North American accents in there as well. :-)

That's disappointing. I was hoping it would be a long solo performance with no support acts. Oh, well. will still be awesome.

I will be attending with a friend who is Canadian..... Think most gigs these days there are a variety of accents

Trying to change the poor habits of a lifetime and think this weekend through before I arrive at an hour before I should leave..............

Anyone happen to know if the pub does food and if pre-gig (maybe post) dogs are allowed in?

Cheers

The pub itself doesn't do food, but there are a couple of '2 for one' pubs in reasonable walking distance, plus a Wetherspoons in the centre of town.

I'm fairly sure the Boars Head is dog-friendly, they have their own dog who's usually hanging around the pub. Maybe give them a call, just in case.

I just didn't want you to take my word for it, but I'm sure it will be fine.

He'll be just as excited to meet you believe me - in fact anyone who makes a fuss will have a friend and protector for life! After this weekend he'll have done Southend, Kidderminster & Hebden Bridge: I'll have to make him a tour shirt  ;D
