NMA Group on Google+

Anyone interested in browsing groups at Google+?
Just found a New Model Army group there.

If you're a gmail user you can easily check the groups, join them and make postings at Google+.

Not to be too picky, but the fact the group is simply called New Model Army rather implies that it is an official site, which it clearly isn't. I  suggest you change the name of the group to something more suitable so the band can have their own name if they chose to use google+.

Yea, Amandistan. When you log into your Gmail, there's a box icon near to the tab where you log out.
By clicking the box, you can switch onto any other applications Google has. One of them is Google+. And one of them is Hangouts. You can use them abreast if you want to contact f.e some user out there, or make normal posts at Google+ where you can specify the recipients, group of your circles, communities etc. It's quite different than FB.

A very good point. I can try to contact Gabriel (the owner/moderator of the community) and give a hint about it.

When you make a search at communities available there, there are actually other communities and even single user names too that have a similar type of the name or some alteration about it. Lol, one of them being a model/fashion company, really. However, I think Google allows to have several same names side by side. But I see well what you mean by changing the name a bit.

I don't really see the advantage of social media over this place - run by NMA.org for all, equally.  Maybe the ability to share pics/images  is a real positive but even a fusty old luddite like me can work out how to put in a picture from my Google+ account look:

Actually, and I find this rather amusing, I had an email from the now infamous Space asking to be let back on the board! And I quote:

"Hey, Viv, it's been awhile, but I'd like back in to the NMA forum. It was all fun and games (I never cursed or abused other members), and looking back some of my posts were pretty darn entertaining. All good fun.

Lift the ban on SPACE, please. Come on, my post about New Model Army performing at the Super Bowl halftime show was classic. No feelings were hurt. Just some good clean entertainment for the masses. No trouble at all. No trouble in future. Promise." Space

So what do you reckon?! A calm, err, mostly calm board - or a board with Space on it? Well, I will admit it was lively... Though a pain in the proverbial to deal with all the complaints and grumbles made about every single post he unleashed. So what say y'all?

But I have seen some eerily familiar "humour" in the comments section of a certain video hosting website. Personally I quite like the Wacken stream that's available there

I don't see any problem with this. I think I will always be here, too, but use also other social media.

It's a way different there at Google+. Like Anna said, posting images, vids or whatever. The way of having chats is bit minimalized, different. Here we're having topics and discussing them. Following them is easier even if they are kilometres long. It's not so common to post pics here. All of these alternatives are good in their own way.

I would say give him another chance. Some of his posts were very funny.
If he offends again maybe give him a warning and then possibly remove him.
I am not an admin and would never want to be. I would suck at it. It's your call Viv.

I did find one of his posts amusing. I think he designed an album cover or something that was terrible but acted as if it were brilliant.  I don't remember clearly and my ability to word things is really off today.
Some may not believe this but English is my first language and I still struggle with wording.
