Very sad to hear that. I have numerous films starring Sir Christopher Lee. My favourite, the Wicker Man.

A good innings though. Even older than his on-screen adversary Peter Cushing who died aged 81 in 1994.

Yes I used to love Christopher Lee he was a excellent actor Don't mind admitting he used to scare the crap out of me though I was probably too young to be watching some of those hammer horror films . Definitely one of the finest around. Thanks for the frights R.I.P.

Jeez, Sir Christopher was making metal albums in his 80's!

Sad loss, but let's face it, he was active and creative to the end... that's a life well lived.

As far as I recall Obama is the only president to challenge or question US gun laws repeatedly. Maybe its gonna take decades before it changes because its a nation built on the right to bare arms. Desperately sad that the US cant stop it and I feel for every victim.  :'(

Chris Squire, Yes Bassist and Co-Founder, Dead at 67

Rolling Stone
June 28, 2015

by Daniel Kreps

Chris Squire, the co-founder and longtime bassist of prog rock icons Yes and the only member of the group to feature on every studio album, has passed away just over a month after revealing that he was suffering from a rare form of leukemia. Squire was 67. Current Yes keyboardist Geoff Downes first tweeted the news, “Utterly devastated beyond words to have to report the sad news of the passing of my dear friend, bandmate and inspiration Chris Squire.”

Damn One of the Best Bass Players of any generation Growing up in my teens Yes was in everyones Album collection that I hung out with I had their 1st 4 albums myself. Truly an amazing bassist RIP Chris :( 8)

Sad news... I can't say I was a huge Yes fan, although friends of mine are, but I can recognise what a talented and influential musician he was...

Sir Nicholas Winton died today at the age of 106.  From his Wiki page...

Sir Nicholas George Winton, MBE (born Nicholas Wertheim; 19 May 1909 – 1 July 2015) was a British humanitarian who organised the rescue of 669 children, mostly Jewish, from Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia on the eve of the Second World War in an operation later known as the Czech Kindertransport. Winton found homes for the children and arranged for their safe passage to Britain.[1] The British press dubbed him the "British Schindler".[2] On 28 October 2014, he was awarded the highest honour of the Czech Republic, the Order of the White Lion, by the Czech president, Miloš Zeman.

And yet the newspapers pay far more attention to the fact that Ben Affleck is getting divorced...

RIP, sir.
