Aw, this one hit me in the heartbollocks... Barry Norman, UK film critic...

Might mean nothing to non-UK folks, but he was the UKs premier film critic for a very long time, presented the BBC's big film show.  I'm a huge film buff and an awful lot of it is due to Mr Norman.  I was a kid, watching kiddie-related films, and then his show introduced me to many films I wouldn't have otherwise watched, thus paving the way to my lifetime obsession with films of all types, old or new, good or bad... is it a bit pretentious to say that the guy shaped my life in a little way?

RIP sir.  And, by the way, he never did actually say 'And Why Not?' (another in-joke that non UK folks won't get...)

Blimey, this is one totally out of the blue, just like Chris Cornell... Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington has killed himself.  I liked some of their earlier stuff, drifted in and out after that, but he had a damn good voice.  Only 41 years old.   :-\

And to think it was yesterday Chris Cornell's b-day. I heard they were friends. Although I wasn't into Linkin Park's stuff, it's really sad to hear this kind of things.

Wasn`t into Soundgarden or Linkin`Park `til now
Met some younger ones today for coffee and ice cream and they told me something users of FB or are posting about their thoughts about the strong relationship between both man
Not important for me - I like the cover song first time listening - yes,  lost of a great voice
And me, I`ve got a black place in my heart
Still got this hole in me
Perhaps - I am the master of nothing?

Sorry to hear it, Red.  Also lost a few people to that awful thing.  Hope your mate gets through it OK, or at least as OK as can be hoped.
