Niki Lauda a man who was horrifically burned and inhaled high octane fuel so much so that he was given the last rites in his car . He actually came back to race that season a cpl of months later n won the championship the next season.  RIP

Oh America.........
.
It's bad.

When I was younger there were places and circumstances where you knew you were in danger of getting shot. A trip downtown to CBGBs was really a risky endeavor. Bad neighborhood. A trip uptown to Yankee Stadium - The Bronx - was a risk to one's life. Times Square was full of guns and addicts and criminals.  When going to those areas (and others) of course you knew there was a chance of getting shot. Think of all those movies about New York City from the 1970s. I have news for you, they were accurate. You were in fear of losing your life if you ventured into certain neighborhoods.

But that was one putting oneself at risk. Today in America EVERYTHING is a risk. It isn't going to The Bronx at one in the morning that puts one's life at risk...now it is going to a Walmart on a sunny Saturday afternoon to buy school supplies. Now it is going to a movie. Going to a garlic festival. Going to school. Going to church for f***'s sake!

It's bad.

Yes it is bad here in America.  There soon will be a breaking point. Where no matter how good Donald Chump thinks the economy is great people are fed up with his bombast rambling and the Republicans who are in the pocket of the NRA so no sane gun law regulations are in place to stop this madness.
