I bought my poison street 12" in the last couple of years only paid £3 max for it, got it in missing records Glasgow didn't realise it was worth more. Wont be selling unless someone makes me a silly offer cash in hand lol

Coincidentally, tonight after work I swung by one of the premiere record stores in LA (Amoeba Records). I saw Poison Street there in its 2-12" version with the extra live tracks on the other 2nd 12"
this one:
http://www.discogs.com/New-Model-Army-Poison-Street/release/1098190
and it was in perfect new like shape for 15 dollars.

I did buy 2 NMA 12" singles. (No Rest & Better Than Them) as I didnt have them and they were 7 bucks each.
Good additions to my collection.

Sequioa225 - Just came across this on YouTube and thought of you. Did you attend this? I think this is what you had in mind earlier in the thread. Full band doing a semi acoustic set in Longbeach California 2006.

We always burned brightest when no one was watching.

ahhhhh  no. Thank you though. They played here that year on the same weekend as Thanksgiving Holiday and I went to see my friends in New Mexico that long weekend and drove back Monday - the day after your video and the day  they played a full show in Hollywood. Its a 12 hour drive and I didnt make it back in time. I remember that well - was very disappointed. Thats the only year I missed them during those years they came.

No, the show I was referring to was just Justin, Joolz, and the kid from that band they were helping out (cant remember the name). 2007 or 2008, maybe 2009? It was in a little one room "art gallery" of sorts down in Long Beach. We all just sat on the floor. It was the only time I have ever seen Joolz in person.
A certain guy here with a crazy German (maybe its not German - what do I know) user name might be able to shed some light on this. ;)

Thanks for opening up old wounds though. ;)
Seriously - thanks

ö ö ö, crazy eh? Classical literature that is, almost ;D

So, this gathering took place at the DDRprojects Gallery, January 30, 2008, and awesome it was... a few steps away from the Pacific. Some audiovisual light shedded....

While I'm at it... someone here might also enjoy Kristin Hersh doing Your Ghost in the middle of REALLY nowhere... same year... a few miles outside of Pioneertown in Joshua tree desert.... surrounded by rattle snakes.

I think JS played a few songs in the Pioneertown saloon on that same trip as the above Long Beach gig... according to someone in said bar. I'll be checking flights if this happens again :)

ahhhhh yes - there it is. Hey I recognize that video. I have a copy of it on some external drive somewhere. I was sitting just off camera to the left. I feel like I did an audio recording of this gig - cant remember now. Ok Jan - 30 2008 - yeah that sounds right cause I remember wearing a jacket - which is necessary for about a month here. Hmm maybe "necessary" is a strong word.
It also seemed that it was not during their tour here - he was in town for something else. But see - why cant he do a gig like this while in town mixing? Not that he owes us or anything - and I know first hand how time consuming and grueling record mixing can be. But...I need a new supply of gig shirts!

Speaking of Pioneertown, There is a pretty cool little music festival that goes on now in Pioneertown -

The Desert Stars Festival:

I almost went this past October - its not all commercial and corporate like EVERY MUSIC FESTIVAL in America has become. If I wasnt working 6 days a week that month...Its the type of thing New Model Army would fit right in at.
